Gothic Fiction: Dark Saga promises to be a mix of everything you love about ERS Game Studios

With Gothic Fiction, the developers at ERS Game Studios have gone back and reexamined the previously released games in their catalog and have apparently combined some of the best gameplay elements from them all.

While in-depth details as to the game’s storyline are still under wraps, we do know that Gothic Fiction: Dark Saga will take us to the campus of an old school, haunted by ghosts and “frozen shadows.” We’ll be able to interact with these spirits, completing hidden object scenes and mini-games that are apparently incredibly varied. Some mini-games and puzzles might be spooky and tense, for example, while others are light and even “happy.” It’s in this intentional combination of light and dark that ERS Game Studios is hoping to find a winning formula.

From early screenshots, we can see that the environments look just as varied as the mini-games, as abandoned (but basic) offices and hallways give way to creepy, overgrown swamps and towers that are full of living vines, walking, demonic tree stumps and more. It’s unfortunate that we don’t know more about the storyline in Gothic Fiction: Dark Saga, as we certainly want to play the game right now!
