Never trust a man named Charles Dexter Ward

The role of an investigator or detective is often a dangerous one as we’ll quickly learn in Cerasus Media’s upcoming hidden object adventure game Dark Mysteries: The Soul Keeper. An evil psychopath named Charles Dexter Ward has escaped from a mental asylum and fled to his childhood home of Pawtuxet Island.

Dark Mysteries: The Soul Keeper

This once beautiful, serene island is now much more menacing, as its citizens have all gone missing or worse, have died. Those who have passed on haven’t disappeared forever, though, as restless ghosts now linger in the streets. Your investigation will see you exploring tombs, all sorts of seemingly abandoned buildings and more, but as you make your way through the game, you’ll come to learn that perhaps Ward isn’t the only thing you should be worried about.

Adding in a touch of magic and necromancy, Dark Mysteries: The Soul Keeper seems to contain all of the expected elements from a dark or “scary” hidden object game, from the gloomy graphics to the Victorian-era architecture. And its eventual launch on iPad, Android and Kindle Fire in addition to PC and Mac will make sure that plenty of players will have a chance to experience this one for themselves.
