Crazy Taxi: City Rush is a driving game from Sega. In this game, you break every traffic law imaginable to pick up customers and deliver them to their destinations as quickly as possible. Gamezebo’s walkthrough will provide you with some tips and hints that will help you rule the streets (awright awright!).

  • Upgrade your taxi’s boost capacity and body ASAP – You can upgrade various components of your taxi, but the first things you should modify are your vehicle’s body and boost capacity. Boosts are invaluable when you’re on a tight deadline, so the more you have, the better. Having a stronger body (we’re talking about the car, not you) lets you absorb more impact from objects and traffic, causing you lose less speed in collisions.
  • Don’t be shy about using your boost, but know when to go all-out and when to ease off – Your boost is there for a reason (hint: To help you soar through the streets like a mighty eagle). Use it. At the same time, harder missions tend to be longer, so it’s not a bad idea to pace yourself accordingly. If you’re unfamiliar with a route, you can’t go wrong by using boosts to get through thick traffic.
  • Decorate your vehicle to bring in more money – Adding bling to your taxi is fun, and more importantly, customers dig a fancy car. Even cheap decorations bring in higher fares.
  • Play missions outside the game’s story mode for extra cash – Crazy Taxi: City Rush has single missions in addition to the story-based main game. These missions vary in difficulty, and are a good way to bring in money for upgrades that will help you with the story-based portion of the game.

  • Take easy jobs over hard ones – Harder jobs offer more pay than easier jobs, but the potential for failure is much higher, too. Though you’ll expend more fuel picking up easier fares, you’re practically guaranteed an income.
  • Don’t forget to hire out your taxi fleet – After playing Crazy Taxi: City Rush for a while, you’ll acquire a taxi fleet that you can put to work while you play through the main game. Your fleet is a great way to earn some extra income on the side, so don’t forget to put them on the road.
  • Use the “Earn Rewards” option for free dollars and diamonds – In Crazy Taxi: City Rush’s in-game store, you can select “Earn Rewards” for the opportunity to earn dollars and diamonds by watching videos, etc. Offers aren’t always available, but check back once in a while for easy dosh.
  • Learn how to time your sharp turns – It doesn’t always pay to keep your eye on the road. Instead, keep your eye on the green directional arrows that guide you to your destination. They tell you when to anticipate a sharp turn. Get your timing down to prevent as much spin as possible.

  • Cause wanton destruction, earn rewards – The more things you bash, the more money you earn. This is another reason why it’s important to upgrade your taxi’s boost and body.
  • Don’t bother grabbing dollars if traffic is in the way and you can’t boost through it – Gold dollars are everywhere on the streets of Bay City, but they’re not always placed optimally. It’s rarely worth getting stuck behind traffic for a measly handful of dollars – though if you have a boost to spare, you could do worse things than plow through traffic for a payday.
