Auroch Digital held the reigns on the first digital adaptation of the board game Chainsaw Warrior back in 2013, and now they’re readying that savage power tool once more.

Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night was announced by the studio earlier this week, a sequel that – unlike the earlier release – is a completely new invention of Auroch Digital. Building on the same basic gameplay (it’s like a card-based dungeon crawl where every new card bring you futuristic nightmares to roll dice against, all while you’re fighting a timer), Auroch Digital are promising “an upgraded combat system, new weapons, upgrades, powers and equipment, unique mini bosses that require careful tactics to defeat, three new zones to fight through and an even tougher confrontation with the enigmatic Darkness than ever before.”

And while the original was set in New York, the promotional art for Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night has a decidedly Aztec vibe, (potentially) giving the card art a fresh new vibe.

Reaction to the original release was somewhat mixed, though I personally enjoyed my time with it. If you did too (or are just curious enough to give it a try), you’ll be pleased to know that Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of Night is coming to iOS, Android (and Steam for you desktop slackers) for $4.99 this winter.
