Characters from the series most beloved entry, 1997’s Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, will be returning as featured players in this upcoming mobile puzzler. Players will once again take up the mantle of Alucard, son of Dracula, as he explores the Transylvanian home of his father.

Little is known about the actual gameplay at this time, but some screenshots have surfaced that appear to showcase a Columns or Puyo Pop style gameplay. According to a recent press release, Castlevania Puzzle will “drops players inside the walls of Dracula’s castle challenging them to solve puzzles in order to provide weapons and spells to aid players in their quest.” Whether or not this means players will have direct control over their characters actions remains to be seen.

Like any good Dracula tale, many details about Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night remain shrouded in mystery. Only three things are certain at this time: it’s Castlevania, it’s a puzzle game, and it’s coming soon.
