Blue Archive tasks you with filling the role of advisor to the Federal Investigation Club, Schale. You have to solve a wide variety of incidents that occur by pulling together a team of heroes and sending them out into battle. You can get to know your various team members using the in-game messenger, Momo Talk, which helps you uncover secrets. There’s also a story that will unfold as you play, and tells you a lot more about the various characters you meet along the way.

A tier are solid characters that are great for filling gaps in your party, whether that’s while you wait for your desired S tier, or a specific role that needs filling.
B tier will likely carry you through most of the game, and are solid enough in their own right. They just tend to lose value at end-game, where other characters outshine them.
These characters can help out in niche circumstances, but are generally best avoided – particularly at endgame.
