Assassin’s Creed Rebellion Tips, Cheats and Strategies

Ubisoft has released another Assassin’s Creed game, except this time it’s actually quite good. Assassin’s Creed Rebellion allows you to take control of Ezio and help him fight the Templars in Spain. Build up a squad of over 40 heroes, train them to be the best and build your own headquarters. It’s hard to find something bad to say about Assassin’s Creed Rebellion, so if you would like top tips then read on! If you haven’t downloaded a copy yet, then I seriously recommend trying it.

• Learn your team. The first few teammates you unlock have different abilities to the ones you start with. Ezio is an assassin and therefore is excellent at parkour and assassinating enemies. Other characters you unlock will have different skills useful for situations that involve more than just sneaking behind one guard and killing them. There might be a room where two guards are facing the door. For this situation, you will want someone who can deal a higher DPS (damage per second) character rather than an assassin.

• Don’t look back in anger. The beautiful thing about Assassin’s Creed Rebellion is the strategy elements included in gameplay. This means if you pick the right squad for the right rooms you will be fine. Before the mission starts, you can give the mission a quick read to gauge who to bring on this mission. Normally you want a balance between stealth and raw DPS, but some levels you might need to focus on stealth whereas others are a little more intense.
• Remember to look ahead. Normally, in video games glimpsing ahead can feel like cheating but in Assassin’s Creed Rebellion its part of the game. This is because every mission has multiple roots or rooms to explore, so not weighing up your options will put you on the back foot. Most levels have bonus chests or loot lying around, so not looking ahead will cost you in the long run.

• Seriously, look ahead. I know I mentioned it’s worth your time to look ahead to plot a route, but there is another reason to look ahead. Before you select a yellow door, it displays the character you selected chances of navigating the room. This means if you see a room with lots of parkour, a strong DPS character will have trouble navigating this room successfully. Instead, you are better off picking an assassin for this room and then a DPS character for the next. It’s a silly way to lose energy and health picking the wrong characters for each room.
• It’s a game of chance. Although the percentages normally show how things will go, you never truly know until you click. Most of the time, the chest has a rather low percentage to open but I’ve noticed that whenever I have used an assassin to open the box it normally works. However, when I had a high percentage chance of opening a chest with a DPS character, it did not work. This could just be down to luck, so never expect an attack to be successful, no matter how high the percentage. This way you aren’t disappointed when it doesn’t work.

• Spend money to make money. As soon as I completed the tutorial stage, I noticed I had enough Helix Credits to open 10 DNA Cubes. I might have gotten lucky, or the odds to get good items are high but it was worth it. I know Helix Credits are used throughout gameplay, but in the early stages, you don’t have to worry about resources or DNA fragments. Just save your Helix Credits up for these chests and try your luck, it worked for me and made the beginning levels a lot more enjoyable.

• Upgrade, evolve and equip. As with most games centred on building a squad, you can upgrade and equip better loot as time goes on. Not to mention train and upgrade the characters themselves. Normally, games like Assassin’s Creed Rebellion make it difficult for users to get new heroes. Instead, opting to teach the user about upgrading and new items. Whereas, in Assassin’s Creed Rebellion the focus is more the other way. You can get better characters easily, but upgrading the character takes time. Which means you might get a legendary character that is the best in your team, for a while until the rest get upgraded. The rarer the character, the harder it is to get shards for them.
