Arcane Legends Preview

If there’s one word that can be used to sum up Spacetime Studios, it’s “legendary.” After all, what else would you call the team behind games with names like Pocket Legends, Star Legends, and Dark Legends? Ok – maybe you could call them “productive” too. After all, only a few months out from the launch of Dark Legends, they’ve just announced their fourth release: Arcane Legends.

Spacetime Studios readies their next cross-platform MMO

If there’s one word that can be used to sum up Spacetime Studios, it’s “legendary.” After all, what else would you call the team behind games with names like Pocket Legends, Star Legends, and Dark Legends? Ok – maybe you could call them “productive” too. After all, only a few months out from the launch of Dark Legends, they’ve just announced their fourth release: Arcane Legends.

In typical Spacetime fashion, this initial announcement offers little more than a name and a few tidbits to wet our appetites. We can confirm that, like the last three titles, Arcane Legends will be a cross-platform MMO. We can also confirm that it will appear on iPhone, iPad, Android, and the Chrome Web Store later this year.

After that though, things get a little… strange. There’s no overall theme confirmed in this initial announcement, but Spacetime have stated that players will play as Warriors, Rogues, and Sorcerers – classes that sound incredibly similar to Pocket Legends Warrior, Archer, and Enchantress.

Could Arcane Legends essentially be Pocket Legends 2?

It would make sense. According to Spacetime’s official press release, “The core of Arcane Legends is the groundbreaking combat system that will deliver the most fast-paced, action-oriented co-op and player-vs-player gameplay of any Legends title.” Groundbreaking combat system? That sounds just like the sort of enhancement you might expect to find in a sequel.

Either way, with such similar classes, it seems like Arcane Legends isn’t looking to tread new thematic ground in the way that the previous titles have. You’ll be able to find out for yourself what Spacetime Studios’ has cooked up when Arcane Legends launches this Fall.
