Another Eden is a brand new mobile JRPG that features development talent from the likes of Chrono Trigger, Luminous Arc 2, and Bintochan. It’s free to play and does include gacha elements but, at its core, this is an epic single player JRPG the likes of which we usually see on console.

In this guide, we’re going to help bring you up to speed with the game’s systems, including combat, exploration, and more. We won’t go into intricate detail though – this guide is designed for beginners, after all.

Another Eden Tips and Tricks:

  • Tap everything: While exploring the world, tap anything that you think you can interact with. Explanation marks over heads, doorways, shiny objects – tap it all. The worst case scenario is that nothing will happen and you’ll have wasted very little time but, in the best cases, you’ll get yourself an item or quest for your trouble.
  • Get your pre-registration gifts: Nestled in the menu is your mailbox, and there you’ll find two pre-registration rewards that you can collect regardless whether or not you pre-registered. It includes a free 10x gacha pull and two Fragments used in obtaining four star characters.
  • Fill out your Ability Board: When you level up you’ll get Ability Points that you can spend on the Ability Board to unlock new skills and increase your statistics. This should be the first place you visit when you level up, as it considerably increases your power. Battles aren’t as easy as in the usual free to play JRPG nonsense here, so you’ll actually need all of the help you can get.
  • Consider your skill usage: Again, you can’t just mindlessly use whatever skill you want to in Another Eden, as your pitiful number of MP will attest. Instead, just be considerate. If you’re facing a bunch of weak enemies, you probably don’t need to use that expensive but powerful single attack when a weaker AoE attack will suffice. Heck, sometimes the best option is just to auto attack and conserve your MP for tougher battles. Also, the game doesn’t explain this very well but you can tap and hold on a character’s portrait to choose a battle skill and hit ‘Repeat’ at the top to save it in that slot for your next turn.
  • Keep an eye on your map for secret areas: Lastly, we recommend that you keep an eye on your minimap for secret areas, which are usually displayed as a dead end. That way you’ll find a bunch of secret items that will make the rest of the game an absolute breeze. Well, easier at least.
