Amazing Alex is a puzzle game from Rovio, which makes use of the Casey's Contraption IP the company purchased from independent developer Snappy Touch. With gameplay that would make Rube Goldberg proud, you play as the titular, mischevous Alex, combining household items, toys, and fanciful tools to make elaborate machines which solve basic household tasks. Amazing Alex is a dark, macabre story. One day, Casey from Casey's Contraptions simply disappears without a word. His family is worried sick. They search everywhere, fearing the worst. Suddenly, they find him on the side of the road! Except it isn't him, is it? He's unharmed and innocent, to be sure. And happy. A little too happy. Like Casey though, he gets right back to tinkering with toys and home brewing elaborate machines, building more than ever. All with a hollow, dead-eyed smile on his face. What happened to their son!?

Don't ask me why my school thought it was educational; I spent most of my time blowing up little men with nitroglycerine. But speaking of not arresting me, I naturally glommed on to and became a huge fan of Casey's Contraptions as soon as I bought an iPad.
