Plenty of us at Gamezebo are a fan of Otome games. The romance, the music, and the art style all play a big part. In this Upcoming Otome Games On Switch feature, I go through all of the soon-to-release games you can look forward to and tell you a little bit about them.

These are all of the Otome games on our radar which we’re excited for! I update this post monthly, so make sure you check back and see what else has been added.

Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ – 2025 Date TBC

Does the name sound familiar? It very well might! This game is a spin off from the Hakuoki visual novel, and takes a modern approach on the Edo time-period of the main series.

The game focuses on the teachers and students living in modern Japan, perfect for those who enjoy a slice-of-life story. Play through school festivals, water fights, school antics, and midterms as you experience unique endings and mini games.

Deathmatch Romantic Comedy – 2025 Date TBC

Kei Yagi, a first year, gets two love confessions from two different classmates… making him explode. Don’t worry, it was an illusion. However, he soon discovers that someone put a curse on him. The next time he receives a confession, he will explode… literally!

Rather than trying to fall in love, your goal is to avoid a love confession at all costs, as it will get you killed. However, there are still multiple routes available for different characters. Deathmatch Romantic Comedy is the perfect mix of fantasy, comedy, and romance.

Project Code Kaleido Tower – 2025 Date TBC

Trapped in a tower that shows people what they want, youths with unique abilities live in oppression. Although the tower appears to be a dream, they soon realise things aren’t as they seem. They delve into the people they love, their friends, and themselves, and decide between staying in this paradise, or leaving.

The Red Bell’s Lament – June 5th 2025

In Hemeria, humans used to live in peace. Until one day vampires arrived and destroyed everyone, apart from Juliet Rose. Years after the genocide of humans, she became one of the best vampire hunters, and joins Elpis 7 to get rid of vampires once and for all.

One day, she gets a letter from a mysterious sender inviting her to a mansion. When she arrives, she finds other vampire hunters waiting for her, and the monarch forms them into a squad. Their task is to invade Nyx, the land of vampires.

7’scarlet – May 15th 2025

Play as a college student called Ichiko Hanamaki. A year before the timeline we play in, her brother disappears in a small town called Okunezato. The town begins to gain a reputation as being known as a ‘mystery spot. One day, Hino Kagutsuchi. Ichiko’s childhood friend, finds a website called “Okunezato Forbidden Club”. The website has people discussing the mysteries of the town and the disappearances.

The website holds an in-person meetup during summer break. Both Ichiko and Hino go in hopes of solving the mystery of her brothers disappearance. Along the way, Ichiko meets multiple people who try to help. But, things aren’t always as they seem, and sometimes they don’t have the best intentions in mind. 7’scarlet is a story filled with mystery, drama, hert-breaking twists, and tomance.

Utakata no Uchronia – 2025 Date TBC

Also known as Euchronia of the Foam released in Japan in 2024, but is due to release in English and on Nintendo Switch in 2025. You play as a noble lady called Hinagiku. She longs to visit the lands beyond the floating city she lives in.

As she turns 18, you meets an amnesiac man called Yashiro. Their meeting becomes a catalyst that makes life-changing events happen. She stars to learn the secrets and mysteries that cloud this so called utopia.

Despera Drops – March 6th 2025

Mika Amamine (Misa Amane anyone?) visits Rome to celebrate finishing her exams. Her holiday takes a turn for the worst. She witnesses a murder and gets arrested for being a suspect. Whilst in police transport, the van overturns in an accident.

She gets freed, alongside the six other criminal suspects, and they go on the run. They become fugitives from having escaped from the police. Just as things seemed to not get worse, mysterious attackers appear and start to pursue the group.

Date Everything – June 2025

You’re going to lose your job to AI. As you’re about to be fired, you receive a gift from a mysterious stranger. Inside the box are magical glasses called dateviators, which makes everything inside of your house become alive… and dateable!

All of the dateable objects have their own stories that open up and confide in your over time. Whether they become enemies, friends, or lovers is up to you. There are over 100 things for you to date!

Him, the Smile & Bloom – February 2025

Originally released on August 8th, 2024 in Japan. Him, the Smile & Bloom is coming to Western Countries in February 2025.

You play as Rina Aokim, and you work in a flower shop called Fill Flower. One day, you meet Kan Higashizato who is a cheerful and friendly college student. His friend, Ring, has depression, and you end up hiring him part-time in your flower shop. You could say that’s how your love story begins to blossom (ha… get it?).

The story explores the relationship between four couples and takes a very modern approach to relationships, and how to build them in the modern world.

Battlefield Waltz – April 8th, 2025

One terrible day, a girl loses everything in her life, including her village and father. To protect what she loves, she uses a sword. However, later discovers that it is cursed and filled with immense power.

After obtaining such a powerful item, she lives on the battlefield and enters a military academy, Nirvana. This becomes her new home, where women and men join forces to sharpen their combat skills and become stronger. Along the way, she meets new people, creates new bonds, and finds a place she can truly belong in.

Arcana Familia: Rinato – 2025 Date TBC

Felicità has grown up isolated, spending her childhood in the middle of nowhere with only her mother and Luca, her attendant. One Christmas, her father invites Felicità to live with him and his family. She joins and soon becomes a member of the Arcana Famigila, and later becomes an executive.

One day, a celebration is held when an announcement is made, saying that the ‘Arcana Duello’ will happen. Whoever wins will get Felicità’s hand in marriage. She sets out to compete in the competition in hopes of changing her fate.

Mistonia no Kibou -The Lost Delight- – 2025 Date TBC

Set in Grand Alvion, a kingdom ruled by a fairy queen, in a time where light and shadow coexist. Just a stones throw from the capital is a noble residence where a prestigious family live. The story begins with the new maid beginning work there, also known as the heroine of the story!

8 years before the start of this story, she lost everything, and she vowed to herself that she would get revenge. Taking on a fake identity, she starts uncovering the truth. Her first step? Pretending to be a maid at the mansion, where a potential target for her revenge lives.
