Well hello there, and welcome to our weekly round-up of all of the most important mobile gaming news. E3 is upon us, so this week we’ve got some early looks at a couple of games that are likely to be taking up a lot of your time in the coming months. We’ve got some awesome new releases too, for both iOS and Android.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s a cartoon crossover event, a new furious and fast content pack for one of the best racers on mobile, and a teaser trailer for an upcoming game from one of the most innovative developers of recent years. Wow, that really is a lot of stuff.

So we’re going to stop with all this typing and just let the stories speak for themselves. See you again in seven days for another round-up of all the comings and goings in the world of mobile gaming.

Runescape comes to iOS

We’ve been waiting a while for this one. Runescape, the super popular MMO, has finally landed on the App Store. There’s loads of content, cross-play compatibility and plenty more to discover. If you’ve never played Jagex’s smash hit multiplayer adventure, we’d recommend giving the mobile version a go. Click here to grab the game from the App Store.

The Witcher Tales: Thronebreaker out on Android

It’s been out on the App Store for a while now, but the excellent RPG built around Gwent has landed on the Play Store. It’s got a massive story, loads to discover, and the single player tweaks make things super interesting. You can grab the first chunk for free by clicking here.

Brawlhalla x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover

Brawlhalla, Ubisoft’s fast and furious side-on scrapper has just been updated with some TMNT content. You can play as the four heroes in a half-shell, and there are new game modes to sink your teeth into as well. Click here to grab the iOS version of the game, or click here to download it for Android.

First trailer for Hitman Sniper: The Shadows

E3 has been pretty interesting for mobile gamers this year. One of the biggest pieces of news is the proper announcement of Hitman Sniper sort-of-sequel Hitman Sniper: The Shadows. It looks set to be packed full of more long-distance slapstick murder. Check out the trailer below.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster announced

Elsewhere in E3 news, Square Enix revealed that the first six Final Fantasy games are getting released in slightly new versions on mobile. The collection is called Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, and it’ll see a staggered launch of spruced up versions of the original FF titles.

New Horizon Chase street-racing content

Horizon Chase is an awesome, retro arcade racer that’s filled with the sort of simple joy that’ll make your cheeks sore from grinning. It’s just got a new expansion pack, called Walker-X, that gets you a new car, new tracks and a new mode. Download the game from the App Store here, or the Play Store here.

Secret Neighbor hits the App Store

Secret Neighbor is an asynchronous who-is-it multiplayer game set in the Hello Neighbor universe. If you’re a kid you need to find some keys to unlock a basement door, but if you’re the Secret Neighbor you need to stealthily take down the young ‘uns and keep them from succeeding. It’s like a 3D Among Us, kinda. Click here to grab the game from the App Store.

PUBG: New State pre-registration news

PUBG: New State is a refresh and a reboot of the world’s first battle royal game. It’s already been pre-ordered a quite frankly ridiculous 17 million times on Android (you can join the fun by clicking here), and it’s set to go live for pre-registration on the App Store in Q3 2021, so Apple players don’t have long to wait to get in on the action.

Alto’s Odyssey and Angry Birds coming to Apple Arcade

A couple of big mobile hitters are coming to Apple Arcade. The next game in the Alto’s series, Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City will see you sliding through the desert and trying to find the titular forgotten city. And then there’s Angry Birds Reloaded, which is a return to the series’s bird-flinging roots. Check out the trailer below.

Teaser trailer for Sam Barlow’s Immortality

Last but by no means least, we’ve got a teaser trailer for the next game from Sam Barlow, the mind behind the incredible Her Story and Telling Lies. We’re not sure it’s coming to mobile just yet, but the trailer looks great and we can dream, right?
