If you’re a fan of match-3 games, there’s a very good chance you’ve nursed a Puzzle & Dragons obsession at some point in the last three years. This is the game that birthed the match-3/RPG renaissance, and has had countless events with properties as big as DC Comics and and as niche as Taiko Drum Master.

Being good at a game like Puzzle & Dragons means knowing how to line up the best possible combos — and it turns out robots are always going to be better at analyzing a gameboard than you are. Case in point: the video above.

Created by Junya Sakamoto, this robot is connected to a laptop and can make the best possible combination of moves to lead to gigantic chains in Puzzle & Dragons. If you speak Japanese, we think you can learn how to make one here. If you don’t… well, maybe it’s time to build a robot that can.
