Battle Dragons Review
By John Anthony
If casual building simulations like Smurf's Village are too tame for you, give Battle Dragons a try. It merges the familiar freemium set-up of creating and upgrading structures with an exciting combat system that's all about training and deploying dragons to destroy rival villages. Come on, how much cooler does it get than that?My Muppets Show Review
By Nadia Oxford
It's time to play the music. It's time to light the lights. It's time to have some fun, so pull out your iOS device. My Muppets Show by Disney and Big Blue Bubble (BBB) is a simulation/music game that plays a great deal like BBB's excellent My Singing Monsters. In fact, My Muppets Show simply swaps out one horde of cute monsters for another. It's hard to complain, however, since Jim Henson's shaggy puppet pals are legendary. They also have some great pipes, and some corny jokes.Kid Tripp Review
By David Oxford
Kid Tripp pulls no punches, as Kid's plane crashes and he finds himself in the Green Hill Zone (or Splash Hill Zone, or some opener for one of Sonic's adventures). No tutorials, no instructions, you're left to figure it out on your own as Kid immediately takes off to the right from the word go.Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon Review
By Leif Johnson
A well-known Portlandia skit features two goofballs who maintain that everything's better if you merely "put a bird on it." With Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon, Kabam seems to think that you can improve the tired social combo of city building and abstract strategic warfare by putting a dragon on it. In some ways, it works, if only because it's fun to watch a dragon spreading its wings on your screen, rather than contemplating a static representation of a city. Looking for something more innovative, though? You won't find it here.Game of War – Fire Age Review
By Nick Tylwalk
In terms of admirable goals, bringing people from all over the world together is right up near the top. Machine Zone is trying to do that with Game of War: Fire Age, a mobile strategy MMO that really is global in scope. It succeeds in that regard, but it forgot something else that is kind of important: giving all those united people something new and exciting to do.Sky Tourist Review
Remember when you were a toddler and snuck out of the house in the middle of the night? Then you hijacked the family car and used it to tour the cosmos all in service of your passion for amateur photography? In Sky Tourist, you'll navigate cubist floating isles as you perfect your photo trapeze act, the whole endeavor made sweeter by innovative controls.Shadowrun Returns Review
By Mike Rose
There's been a fair amount of negative press around Kickstarter and the art of crowdfunding a game recently. We've seen games successfully funded via Kickstarter that have then gone on to receive massive delays; we've seen developers say "we're doing this so that we don't need a publisher!" who have then gone on to immediately use a publisher; we've seen games released with only a small portion of the features that the Kickstarter promised originally; and we've even seen a very small number cancelled outright.Droidscape: Basilica Review
The year is 4057. For centuries, three different powers have been vying for majority control of the galaxy: the religious Ecclesiarchy, the Cortez Corporation, and the time-manipulating Guild of TAL. In an aggressive push to expand their reach, Cortez Corp has taken over the TAL's primary base of operations, the space station Basilica. The sole remaining guild member aboard, Aetherion, is imprisoned and awaiting execution. His only hope for rescue is a remote-controlled droid named Bishop 7, who must be guided through the dangerous and labyrinthine space station in Droidscape: Basilica.
