    In most hidden object games, you're penalized for too much random clicking, but in Vampireville, failure to click like crazy will leave you dead in your tracks. It's just one of the ways that Vampireville tinkers with the typical hidden object game formula, but sadly the game's fresh attitude isn't enough to counter its lack of polish.

    An evil magician has enslaved the residents of Luzio, putting them under a magical spell and forcing them to do his bidding. As Rosalie the fortuneteller, your connection to your tarot cards offered you protection against his spell, but not before he put you into a deep sleep and scattered your cards to the four winds. To save the villagers, you'll have to recover your deck and beat the magician at his own game.

    In The Inquisitor, an hidden object/adventure game hybrid based on the Wolfgang Hohlbein novel of the same name, you play as Tobias, a young monk sent to determine whether or not a young woman truly is a witch. You are understandably dismayed to discover that not only is she your ex-girlfriend (did they call it that back in the Middle Ages?), but also that the charges against her seem to be legitimate.

    Here is some wisdom for you: the number of long, thin items a hidden object game asks you to find is directly proportional to how much that game is going to suck. Virtually every level of Shutter Island, a tie-in with the upcoming movie of the same name, has you looking for pencils, cigars, matchsticks, candles, scalpels, thermometers or icepicks. In other words, there's a whole lot of bad going on with this game.
