    In terms of admirable goals, bringing people from all over the world together is right up near the top. Machine Zone is trying to do that with Game of War: Fire Age, a mobile strategy MMO that really is global in scope. It succeeds in that regard, but it forgot something else that is kind of important: giving all those united people something new and exciting to do.

    Witching Hour Studios doesn't play when it comes to its strategy games. After blessing mobile gamers with the well-received Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellion two years ago, the studio returns to the same setting for Ravenmark: Mercenaries. And while asynchronous multiplayer is the big story, it's not the only reason that this free-to-play game of tactical war-gaming is worth some storage space on your iOS device.

    No matter how well you know your way around your favorite MOBA, one thing can still hold you back when the action heats up: not being fast enough on the mouse and keyboard. Or as Futurama's Robot Devil succinctly put it, "stupid fingers." Arena of Heroes by Sneaky Games and Zattikka solves that problem with an ingenious turn-based solution, but several other aspects keep it from really shaking up its genre.
