    EA's Dragon Age series supplies an in-depth fantasy world that goes way beyond stories about noble heroes and evil dragons. The Dragon Age wiki contains thousands of pages with reams of information about Grey Wardens, archdemons, and Darkspawn. It stands to reason, then, that Dragon Age fans would love the supplementary story material in Heroes of Dragon Age. That may be the case, but the hands-off combat and rapidly-depleting energy system might actually send them packing for a more exciting region of Thedas.Heroes of Dragon Age plays a good deal like many of the digital collectable card games available on the App Store and Google Play, which is an interesting thing to say because there isn't a card to be seen in-game. Instead of the usual static illustrations of warriors and sorcerers, you command small, animated figurine-like heroes and creatures from the Dragon Age universe. That means you can expect to have standard archers and mages at your command, but you may also command a Darkspawn or a demon or three."Heroes of Dragon Age's campaign stretches across several scenarios that link together to tell previously-unexplored stories from the overarching Dragon Age mythos. Each scenario pits you against the bad guys, but since this is Dragon Age, "bad guys" is a very nebulous term. Either way, you're on the left, the enemy is on the right, and if you don't knock down your target before they clobber you, you'll be sent limping home.

    Burn the Rope 3D pretty much delivers what its title promises: A puzzle game that plays very similarly to Big Blue Bubble's popular Burn the Rope, but with the inclusion of a third dimension. It's a small change on paper, but it still adds significant depth to the rope-burning puzzles that made the initial game so popular in the first place.Like its predecessor, Burn the Rope 3D stars an everlasting flame sprite that's pretty eager to spread its fire across a series of ropes (fire in general takes propagation very seriously). When you're ready to burn, you touch a match to some on-screen ropes and watch the flames eat 'em up. Ideally, you want to burn everything, but you're allowed to pass the level if you clear at least 60% of your target."You might think, "Gee, how hard is it to burn everything to the ground?" Turns out it's harder than you think. Flames only stay alive as long as they're travelling upwards in Burn the Rope 3D. If they remain upside-down for too long, they sputter and die. In the original Burn the Rope, you fuel the fire by constantly turning your mobile device so that the flame continuously takes an upward path. In Burn the Rope 3D, you rotate the puzzle itself in order to keep the fires stoked.Bugs and colored ropes also return to fill the same roles they play in Burn the Rope. The different-colored ropes that appear in most stages can only be burned by a flame of the same color. If you roast a colored ant crawling along the ropes (can you hear the tiny screams?), the flame changes to match the bug's hue. With a careful combination of foresight and reckless burning, you should be able to reduce each puzzle into piles of hemp ash.

Well, NaturalMotion has you covered with Clumsy Ninja, a pet (er, "pet") simulator that lets you train, tease, and toss around the most adorable ninja in history.Clumsy Ninja has a bit of a story, which is surprising since exposition beyond "clean up this thing's poop" is not common in pet simulator games. Your new ninja pal has a girlfriend/mentor who's been captured by bad guys, and he wants to rescue her. Problem is he's kind of clumsy."Your job as a responsible ninja owner is to train up your ninja. You do so by interacting with him, and by buying him toys and training materials that he can jump on, hit, block, and generally have fun with. You also tickle your ninja friend, tie balloons around him and watch him float, or just throw him around and watch him bounce (which is mean). Nearly everything you do with your ninja earns him experience (life is one big teaching moment, right?), which helps level him up. As you gain levels, you also unlock new items to play with and new belts to wear with pride.   Your ninja is an eager learner, so you won't have any problems with obedience or surliness. In fact, the titular Clumsy Ninja may be the cutest darn trained assassin to ever hit mobile. He's got enormous green eyes that are impressively expressive, he enjoys high-fives, and he receives every victory with humble relish. Even his movements grant him humanity, ragdoll physics aside. When you first start training him on the trampoline, he climbs up hesitantly and makes small, unsure jumps. As he gets better, he becomes more confident and tries out more daring moves.

Pepper Panic Saga is yet another match-three puzzle game from the creators of Candy Crush Saga that'll steal your leisure hours by the handful. It's as addictive as sriracha on pancakes (what? Am in the only one who does that?).Pepper Panic Saga stars Pepper, a young pup with a curious appetite for hot stuff. Whereas his colleagues spend their days digging up and munching on bones, Pepper is more interested in finding the plumpest peppers nature has to offer. He eventually leaves his doggy life to pursue a career growing peppers.Obviously, dogs aren't good farmers, so you need to help Pepper grow his crops. When you match up three same-colored peppers on a level, it grows into a larger pepper. When you grow any pepper past its third stage, it explodes, scatters its searing seeds across the board, and grows all peppers of the same color by one more stage. If you're lucky, the chain of growth and explosion may trigger a Pepper Panic that racks up huge points, and is frankly just satisfying as heck to experience.
