There are people who can fall into a meditation so deep, that they don't require food or water for days at a time. There are people who can walk amongst wolves and lions without fear.And then there are people who are capable of playing eight Bingo cards without suffering a mental and physical breakdown. It is for these half-fey that Bingo Rush 2 exists. Everyone else - that is, anyone who plays Bingo for ten minutes at a time and is content with managing one or two cards simultaneously - will find a basic free-to-play Bingo experience."There isn't a lot about Bingo Rush 2 that's different from Buffalo's original Bingo Rush. The core premise is Bingo, a game that everyone in the Western world has played at least once (until they discovered it's more fun to use the dauber on the walls, ceiling, or cat).To oblige anyone who's been living in a cave on Mars: A letter and a number are simultaneously called out by an announcer (e.g., "B 10"). If the number and letter exist on your card, you mark it. If you get five letter-number match-ups going horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, you get to shriek "BINGO!" and wave your fanny at the chain-smoking grandmother playing next to you.

    2013 Christmas flooding has been devastating to certain coastal areas of the UK. Hello Games was no small victim: The studio lost its working space in the deluge, in addition to much of its equipment and a collection of retro consoles. But that hasn't stopped the plucky Guildfordians from releasing Joe Danger Infinity, a new installment of the Joe Danger toy-based stunt bike series. Puddles of milk and soup can't stop Joe Danger, and neither can a deluge of icy sea water.Joe Danger Infinity includes dozens of racing/stunt tracks that feature a toy-like appearance, like obstacle courses set up in a child's bedroom. Outside of the designated race levels, going as fast as possible is unimportant. Your main goal is to navigate traps, bounce on platforms, collect items and coins, and have yourself a good time.And rest assured: It's easy to have a good time with Joe Danger Infinity. The game plays much like its predecessors, so you can count on a lot of flipping, springing, wheelies, and crazy cars and drivers. Don't be surprised if your body automatically moves with the on-screen action.It's usually enough to safely reach the finish line at the end of each level, but Joe Dangeralsohas lots of special goals to meet and objects to root out. Sometimes it's enough to drive into said objects (coins, for example), but other times you need to physically tap whatever's flying at you (stars).

    Labelling Castle Doombad as a tower defense game is simultaneously accurate and erroneous. On one hand, you're certainly defending a tower. On the other hand, it's not the well-being of the tower that ultimately matters. The real point of Castle Doombad is to protect its most precious cargo, its princess, from being rescued by meddling heroes.The awesomely-named Dr. Lord Evilstein has spirited away a generic princess and imprisoned her in his tower. Now he's being harassed by dozens of generic warriors that want to get her back. Dr. Lord Evilstein is safe in the uppermost floors of his tower, but if the princess is rescued and whisked outside his domain, he's finished.Castle Doombad is a tower defense game, but it has a few personality quirks that separate it from the gargantuan herd that already roams the App Store. Playing as a bad guy is just one difference, and it's admittedly a hoot. Who doesn't want to command a tower full of devious traps and evil minions?More importantly, you're able to mix and match traps, which truly lets you customize your play style. Your choices are auto traps, manual traps, and minions. Auto traps are traditional tower defense fare like spike floors and arrow launchers, though you can also opt for ceiling hazards like acid-drippers and alien tentacles. Manual traps, like a huge weight that drops from the ceiling, pack a powerful punch, but need to be activated manually and come with a long cooldown.

    In the realm of video games, murders are typically solved by folks that are barely able to dress themselves. This time around we have a detective with an impossibly stupid-looking hat solving what's being incorrectly passed off as a suicide. Don't tell him his hat looks silly, though. You'll hurt his feelings.Murder in the Hotel Lisbon is a point-and-click adventure game from Nerd Monkeys. You play as Justin Case, an independent detective in desperate need of money (as detectives often are). One day, two unusual things show up in Justin's office: A clown robot, and an actual case to solve."The robot, known simply as "Clownbot," is supposedly an inheritance from a relative Detective Case is unfamiliar with. The timing of Clownbot's arrival is good: There's been a murder at the Hotel Lisbon that's being (poorly) passed off as a suicide. Exactly the kind of case that requires a robot's delicate, steely touch.As you might expect from a game about a detective in a goofy hat and his robot clown accomplice, the tone of Murder in the Hotel Lisbon is not the least bit serious. Detective Case cracks jokes constantly, and sarcasm flows like bitter water. Heck, one of Clownbot's functions is to tell bad jokes on command. There's even an "audience" that roars along with the zingers (and a single spectator that belts out laughter at the clunkers).

    Those of us old enough to remember playing the very first Dragon Warrior game on the NES can also remember giggling over the option to buy "Clothes" as a starter armor set for our hero. "What, was the hero naked before we bought the Clothes?" we asked each other.Of course, our 8-bit hero wasn't actually naked (or at least we couldn't see his shame because of the NES's graphical limitations and/or Nintendo's strict censorship policies at the time). However, the legacy of the naked hero continues with Legend of Equip Pants, an odd, odd adventure game fueled by jokes about underwear, shorts, and pantaloons."Legend of Equip Pants tells the complex tale of Sir Pantsalot, a knight living in a kingdom that's troubled by an "underwearwolf" (amongst other monsters based on garments that secure people's junk). Sir Pantsalot is noble and true, but he seemingly has problems with indecent exposure in a very pro-pants society. He sets out to find some manner of covering for his ding-dong, but his journey is destined to be difficult.Legend of Equip Pants is, in a word, silly. It tries very hard to be funny. The curious thing is it mostly succeeds, even though it retells the same joke over and over. Strange as it is to say, the game's juvenile themes just mesh well with its retro pixel-based graphics and solemn RPG soundtrack. You'll find yourself grinning even when you try and summon your inner grade three teacher ("Boogers, farts, and underwear are not funny!")

    Ratchet and Clank is a popular action game property that's exclusive to Sony and the PlayStation, so it's only natural to do a double-take at Ratchet and Clank: Before the Nexus for mobile.Before the Nexus isn't actually a full-fledged Ratchet and Clanktitle, however, nor does it contain the depth of any of the series' mainstream entries. In fact, Before the Nexus is a 3D endless running game that plays much like any other runner slumming around on the App Store or Google Play. It looks great and it should keep you busy for an hour or two, but the game obviously exists just to whet your appetite for the latest Ratchet and Clank title, Into the Nexus for the PlayStation 3.As its name implies, Before the Nexus takes place before the events that unfurl in Into the Nexus. Vendra Prog and her brother, Neftin Prog, are making trouble. And, like most villains in endless running games, they're making a beeline for the horizon. Ratchet gears up to stop them. Luckily, Lombaxes are fleet of foot.
