    Kids that grew up in the '80s are a lucky bunch. Wherever we go, there's our childhood. He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe for iOS is another example of modern media feeding our pangs of nostalgia—not only through its title character, but also its side-scrolling hack-and-slash gameplay. Like the original cartoon, He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe is simple, but kind of compelling. It won't keep you engaged for hours, but neither will it make you sneer "Nyaaah!"

Eko Software, on the other hand, is more interested in presenting a kinder, gentler storm—a storm that breathes life into the world instead of tearing it up and throwing it down on your car. Storm is an action/puzzle game with wonderful ideas and pretty presentation, but playing it is as frustrating as trying to get your picnic table down from your roof.

    Ayakashi: Ghost Guild is a card battling game that's heavily influenced by Japanese myth—in other words, it's not something you would have expected to see from publishing giant Zynga even a year ago. On one hand, it's good to see that Zynga is trying new things on top of (finally) getting serious about mobile games. On the other hand, Zynga needs to make a greater effort because Ayakashi is not very exciting.

    It's always sad to see a romance come to a bitter end, especially when that romance was forged in adversary. Runaway, a classic PC adventure from 2001, made a splash with its boy-meets-girl (by accidentally hitting her with his car) story introduction, which rapidly swells into a tale about two star-crossed lovers running for their lives. Hidden Runaway for iOS re-visits that story, but now its main characters, Brian and Gina, are a bitter, separated couple.

    Take a deep breath and steel yourself for a shock: the App Store has a new free-to-play zoo-building game. Yeah, it's some pretty intense news, but if we all hang onto each other and pray, we'll get through it somehow. Then again, you might actually consider loosening yourself from the grieving knot long enough to give Wonder Zoo—Animal Rescue a try. It's not a remarkably original mobile zoo simulator, but it's well put-together.
