He also helped create a little something called the Xbox. Now Blackley is returning to video game development, but this time he's not developing a game for the PC or home consoles — he's going to make titles for the iPad.

    H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos has been undergoing a well-deserved resurgence in popularity lately. While books, films, toys, board, and video games have all seen the big guy's tentacles appear, iOS devices have been largely neglected… until now, that is. After a lot of build-up, Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land arrived on the App Store last week and was immediately called out for some pretty big issues thanks to major bugs. Red Wasp Design has since then released an update which has done a lot to help the game ascend to its full glory.

    You'd think that any game about pirates would automatically be fun. Generally, it's true: pirates make things at least a little bit more enjoyable, even if they're not always great. However, Gemaica manages to prove the exception to this rule. The game just never really manages to hit the right note, and all the pirates in the world can't make up for that.

    Developer Realore's claims that All My Gods is "a casual game like no other" are pretty much the biggest lie ever. There are dozens of other titles like this out there. It's by no means a bad game, but there a number of quirks that bog the experience down and may make you want to think twice about purchasing it.
