The publisher has just announced that they're joining forces with Relentless Software (the developer behind popular games like Blue Toad Murder Files for PC and the Buzz! franchise on PlayStation consoles) to create Quiz Climber, a new social game that will feature players competing against each other with trivia knowledge.

    Based on what I've learned from popular media, I am never, ever, going to visit the tropics. It's full of angry natives. And volcanoes. And, according to Volcano Escape, a new action-platformer from Bravo Game Studios, I'm liable to get thrown into a volcano by a bunch of angry natives. Sadly, the game isn't nearly as fun as this concept sounds.

    There's an old proverb: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." It wasn't too long ago that we reported on how EdisonGame stole The Blocks Cometh from developer Halfbot. However, it wasn't just Halfbot's creation that was stolen. The illicit version of the game featured a character from League of Evil. Needless to say, the two wronged developers were more than a little upset with how their hard work was being ripped off, but it's probably safe to assume that nobody expected the two to wind up joining forces.

    When it comes to classic games from the 1980s, they don't get more iconic than Double Dragon. The title spawned an entire franchise that included a ton of sequels, a comic book series, a (dreadful) live-action movie, a cartoon, and action figures. Oh, and now it turns out that the original game is coming to the iPhone… albeit with some improvements.

    There's a lot of variety when it comes to puzzle platformers on the iPhone, but Disoriented! is one of the most unique ones to hit the App Store. As opposed to other such titles on Apple devices, this doesn't have players run, jump, or fly in order to get to their desired destination. Instead, it requires them to fall. In many ways the game is a triumph, but it isn't as much fun as it should be.

    I have to hand it to Groundbreaking Games: the developer's name is extremely appropriate. The company's first title to hit the App Store, Puckerz! is one of the most delightful surprises I've encountered in quite some time. It's a goofy, simple little gem of a game that's quite unlike anything else on the iPhone.

    By this point, we've all come to expect Gameloft's bigger games to pay homage to big-name console titles with their storylines, and Sacred Odyssey: The Rise of Ayden is no exception. The story is clearly based on the Legend of Zelda games, and it's not even afraid to admit it: Ayden's horses are named Miya and Moto (a nod to Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto). Overall it's not a bad clone, but the publisher should have spent a little more time trying to copy the quality of the popular Nintendo games, too.

    When you pit a bunch of cute, fluffy, little woodland creatures against a ravenous horde of the undead, it's safe to say that we all know who will win that fight. Well, most of the time. With Paladog!, the latest defense game for the iPhone, it turns out that the fuzzy wuzzies have some pretty substantial teeth and they're not afraid to take a bite out of the Soulless Legions of Evil.
