    I feel like I have a weird relationship with boxing (beyond the fact that it's completely one-way - boxing doesn't care about me in the slightest). I really couldn't care less about the sport, yet I absolutely love movies about boxing, and even boxing video games. There's a total disconnect between actively watching the sport and taking part in the other forms of media that are based on it. Perhaps what it needs is to present the personalities as action heroes in thrilling adventures with a heavy dose of martial arts films inspiration. Wait... what?

    The whole idea of a Tolkien-inspired fantasy world is pretty ridiculous, no? I mean, obviously it's ridiculous, that's why it's called "fantasy". It's not supposed to be real. A lot of great stories and games have come from there, things that I love dearly, but I do wish more people took a stab at mocking it or having their character be self-aware in some way. I'm thinking the upcming iOS game Evertales might just fit the bill.

    I've been gaming for a very long time. I consider myself fairly well-versed in the history of my chosen hobby and the franchises that have populated my memory over the past 25-30 years. That being said I've never heard of the Wizardry series despite its roots going back to 1981 on the Apple II and Commodore 64. This should be right in my wheel house but somehow it's just slipped by me over all this time. Back in June of this year a new entry in the series was released on PSN and that same title, Wizardry: Labyrinth of Souls, is making its way to iOS next week.

    If you're someone who grew up in the 1980's, there's no doubt that you know who Michael Winslow is. Maybe not by name. but if I told you he's the sound effects guy in the Police Academy series. I can assume that your face just lit up at the recognition. quickly followed by the thought: "So what's he up to these days?" Well, I'm happy to report that he's doing sound effects for an upcoming fantasy arcade shooter called Wizard Ops. Why they left this fact until the last sentence of the press release, I'll never know.

    Man it's gotta be fun to be someone who comes up with ideas for a game. I swear they must have dozens of dart boards all over an office, and coffee mugs full of darts to just pick up and throw in any direction on a whim. I mean, how else do you get to place where your protagonist is a gorilla riding a ski gondola through outer space? The folks over at Electric Pixel Factory must have had a blast the day they came up with that exact situation for their debut game Gorilla Gondola.

    Rabbits are the epitome of cuteness. These little creatures have fur that's softer than any cloud in the sky and big ears to accentuate their unfairly cute little faces. The way they nibble their food when they eat is enough to make a grown man weep from the sever amount of adorableness.

    In the past few years co-op gaming has found a bit of a new life. As a fan of working with players instead of against them I fully support this whenever I get the chance. There's nothing like kicking back with a friend and mowing down hoards of enemies and celebrating with a high-five (real or virtual). Bunch of Heroes, a top-down shooter from NGD Studios, is here to throw their co-op hat into the ring.

    Hopefully you haven't glanced at the score and not bothered to read through this review. If you own a recent, powerful device, keep reading. If you have a phone that's a year or two old, feel free to skip this if you're short on time. I really, really like the core of this game. There's something pretty good here that's entertaining. It must just be lost in the code somewhere.
