    For a game that leaves an entire community stranded on an island after a terrible storm, Chillingo's Rinth Island is unbelievably charming. As a near-perfect port of Buzz Monkey's late 2011 Facebook app, Rinth Island delivers innovative puzzle gameplay, gorgeous Retina display visuals, and an infinite amount of puzzles. Despite the oversaturation of iOS puzzle games, this one is simply one of the best the genre has to offer.

    Gnu Revenge is either a blatant copycat, or has the extreme misfortune of following the exact gameplay mechanic from one of the fastest selling apps of all time. Either way, Bulkypix's new physics puzzler contains the same gravity-centric gameplay gimmick as Rovio's Angry Birds Space, but isn't nearly as fun to play.

    Bigpoint is adding new rabbits, birds, and cats to its massively popular Farmerama browser game, but they're not anything like the normal animals you'd expect to see on the farm. A new partnership between Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Bigpoint will be bringing the Looney Tunes gang to Farmerama from late March to the end of June.

    RPGs have been one of the few iOS genres that can emulate the quality of major console releases like Final Fantasy Tactics and Chaos Rings II. Because of this, they sometimes command major prices (up to nearly $20 for the aforementioned titles). By contrast, Digital Tales' Battleloot Adventure aims to present an engaging turn-based RPG for a budget price. Aside from a few issues, it delivers bang for the buck.

    The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire has a lot going for it. For starters, it has the established universe of the already beloved Hunger Games franchise, including three novels and what's very soon to be a successful trio of films. It's made by the creator of Canabalt, and also contains the fantastic musical scores of Danny Baronowsky and visuals of Super Crate Box's Vlambeer. Yet, despite this "dream team" of indie developers, Girl on Fire left a lot to be desired.

    You've heard the formula before: it's an app for the iPhone that involves slingshot physics. You launch one of five colorful characters toward multiple structures and cause general mayhem. One character splits into three, another explodes, and yet another damages everything below it. Yet, despite the fact that The Drop Out sounds like Angry Birds from several different angles, it actually goes as far to outshine its competition on a few levels.
