Google buys Jambool. Has Google struck Social Gold?
Google buys another games-related company in its bid to piece together a strategy that will compete with Facebook. According to Techcrunch, Google is buying Jambool, a virtual items payment company that allows developers to build payments directly into their games. The purchase price is reported as $55 million with an additional earn out of $15 - 20 million.

Facebook and Google have in common. One, they both are the key players to the future success of the multi-billion social games industry. Two, they don't actually have anyone in charge of games in their respective companies. That may soon change. Atari coming to Facebook
We hate to get scooped, but if we are, it may as well be by Perez Hilton. According to Perezhilton.com, Atari games are coming to Facebook, including Centipede and Missile Command. What's significant about this story is the fact that it was reported by Perez Hilton, and not an insider gaming site like Gamezebo.
