Robot Unicorn Attack Evolution Review

When Robot Unicorn Attack hit the internet a few years back, it was the kind of complete silliness that we couldn't get enough of. An endless runner at its core not all that dissimilar to Canabalt, players controlled a horned horse automaton with a rainbow for a mane. And this pretty pony loved to collect butterflies and smash into stars, all while listening to Erasure's "Always." Like we said - complete silliness.

KartRider is coming to Facebook

While there have been plenty of games about cars to hit Facebook, there haven't been too many that have really tried to capture the thrill of a proper racing game. Nexon is looking to change that soon, having just announced a Facebook iteration for their popular KartRider franchise, KartRider Dash.

Tiny Tower hits 10 million iOS downloads, gives away premium currency

Tiny Tower's not so tiny any more. Yesterday, Nimblebit's Ian Marsh took to his Twitter to make a startlingly big announcement: the game has now surpassed 10 million iOS downloads. And let's not forget that the game has recently launched on Android, too, so the combined number of downloads is no doubt even higher. So how does a developer celebrate such a milestone? With a giveaway, of course!

Crowdstar responds to bot-farming allegations

Yesterday we brought news of an interesting thread that had popped up on the Touch Arcade forums. In it, a developer accused 6 other developers of using a service that participated in bot-farming to artificially propel their games to a spot in the coveted Top 25 free iPhone Apps list. Today, we've received a response from the first of these 6 companies.

FarmVille plush ornaments now on clearance for $2.99

When I was a kid, I collected a complete set of plush "Holiday Huggable" Muppet Babies from McDonald's. In 2008 and 2009, Hallmark released little arcade cabinets of Pac-Man and Galaga to hang off your tree that my wife kindly wrapped and put my name on. Every year, all of these items come out of storage for our December display. Christmas decorations can become lifelong family keepsakes - and there's no better time to buy them than during a February clearance.

Gene Simmons in talks to make an Angry Birds/KISS deal

There's a KISS coffin, you know. It's called the KISS Kasket. It might be the ultimate collectible for a KISS fan, but I wouldn't want to be buried in one. It might seem like a strange thing to bring up in an article about gaming, but let's face facts: Gene Simmons wants to put KISS branding on everything. He'd put in on the dollar bill if he could. So it should come as no surprise then, that in a recent interview with IndustryGamers, 'The Demon' confirmed that there are talks with Rovio to do something KISS-themed with the Angry Birds franchise.
