Minecraft’s Notch offers to help make Psychonauts 2
The story of Psychonauts is the stuff of video game legend. It's the tale of a game that almost didn't get made — thanks to one publisher dropping out — and managed to failed to sell when it initially launched, despite near-universal critical praise (because its new publisher utterly failed to properly promote). Since then, the game's become a cult classic and fans have been clamoring for a sequel from developer Tim Schafer. Now, after a particularly big week, it looks like Schafer might get to make the sequel with some help from Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson.
SpongeBob’s Super Bouncy Fun Time Preview
Despite the series being around for nearly 13 years, and despite the fact that I'm in my thirties, I'm only just now discovering how fantastic SpongeBob Squarepants is. My kids have introduced me to the show, and I'm absolutely hooked. I'll even watch it when they're not around - it's just that funny. But for all the episodes I've watched in the last year, I can honestly say I've never seen SpongeBob look quite like this.

Tetris Stars Preview
In a lot of ways, Tetris is like the monster in a horror film that just won't die. No matter how many times we think we've seen the last of Tetris, it always ends up coming back for more. Most recently, it had a weird subscription-based spin on the iPhone. Before that, it was Tetris Friends and Tetris Battle on Facebook. Now that tetromino puzzler is coming back for its third go-round on Facebook with Tetris Stars.
Kickstarter Picks: Double Fine Adventure
When it comes to the world of classic point'n'click adventure games, there are few names as revered as Tim Schafer. The man helped bring us everything from Day of the Tentacle to Grim Fandango. Since that time, he's been off doing his own thing at his own studio, Double Fine Productions. And while Double Fine has brought us plenty of great games (including the recent Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster that my kids can't stop playing), Tim's team has never gone back to revisit the classic days of point and click fun. At least, not until now.
iCade Review
Being a child of the eighties, I have fond memories of the earliest years of video games. But the fondest of these would have to be the memories of my time spent in my local arcade. The art of the cabinets. The feel of the joystick. The warm glow from the machines that would bathe my face in light. It was magical. That's why I decided it was time to finally sit down and try the iCade - a peripheral for the iPad from ION Audio that promised to recreate the magic of the arcade in the comfort of my own home.
Gotham City Impostors Review
Sometime in the last few years, DC Comics published a brief storyline about a Gotham City that was overrun by people impersonating The Joker and Batman. They were organized, like gangs, with one side opposing the other. In truth, it was a pretty crummy read. But it looks like the idea planted a seed in the mind of somebody at Warner Bros Interactive, because they've just released Gotham City Imposters, and unlike the aforementioned story, it's pretty great.
