After their announcement as a Zynga Platform partner, Mob Science raises $1m in seed funding

It's easy to picture Zynga as riding on some sort of money train, and recently, they started letting third-party developers board that train as well, courtesy of their Zynga Platform partner program. Allowing partners to put their games on Zynga.com, the program seems like a good way for devs to get increased visibility and taste a little more cash themselves.

Rovio acquires fellow Finns Futuremark Games Studio

If I had just sold 10 million copies of Angry Birds Space in just three days, I'd probably want to buy myself something nice to celebrate. Rovio seems to agree with my thinking, as they've just announced the acquisition of Futuremark Games Studio, the gaming division of the popular PC benchmarking software company Futuremark.

Gamerizon announces Chop Chop Ninja animated series [interview]

The annual Game Developer's Conference took place in San Francisco earlier this month, and as always, dished up a whirlwind of game announcements and other exciting news. One studio that happened to be on hand was Montreal's Gamerizon, better known as the team behind the popular Chop Chop series. They were there to show off their upcoming sequel Chop Chop Ninja World, but while chatting with Gamezebo, there was another announcement they were keen to let us in on. As it turns out, a Chop Chop Ninja cartoon series is in the works for the Canadian cartoon network Teletoon.

The Hunger Games Adventures missed its release date, but there’s no clear answer on why
