    Earlier this year, a friend (and fellow board game nerd) decided it was time to introduce me to a little game called Space Hulk.  Essentially Aliens without the license, two players squared off against each other until only one of their teams was standing.  On the one side, the tough-as-nails space marines. On the other, a never-ending spawn of alien scum.  It was brilliant fun.  It was also, as I soon learned, out of print and prohibitively expensive on eBay.  This left me with quite a sad.

    If you're one of the folks behind Google's Android operating system, 2012 has been a pretty great year.  Not only have Android phones taken a triumphant lead over iPhones in terms of sales (if you include cheap, feature-limited Android phones in emerging markets, they make up a whopping 68.3% of smartphone sales in 2012), but some have been quick to call the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy S3 the must-have device of the season, saying that it even outshines Apple's iPhone 5.

    Video games are fun, theme parks are fun - but a video game about theme parks?  That's setting the fun bar crazily high.  Yet while lots of developers have tried this combination over the years, only a handful of series - like Roller Coaster Tycoon - ever managed to be any good.  Park management sims tend to offer about as much excitement as waiting in line on a hot summer's day.  Can Zynga's latest foray into the genre buck this trend?
