    I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that The Room was the best iPad game to be released in 2012.  And by go out on a limb, I mean "agree with every iPad owner on the planet, as well as Gamezebo's own Best of 2012 list).  The box within a box within a box provided more puzzlers per second than any game I've had the joy of encountering; the only complaint being that there isn't more of it.

    One step backwards, two steps forwards - that the kind of month it's been for Playdek.  It was only days ago that the company announced it would no longer be partnering with Stone Blade Entertainment - the tabletop games company whose mobile ports Playdek has built their reputation on.  And while that seemingly spelled a troubled future for the company, today's announcement handily snuffs out any such concerns.

    What's the biggest casual game of all time?  Believe it or not, that's surprisingly tough to say.  Bejeweled has held millions of players in its trance for more than a decade.  Tetris has done the same for even longer than that.  But Plants vs. Zombies?  While it may not be greying at the temples like those other classics, it's seen little resistance in its attempt to take over the gaming world in just a few short years.

    GDC is a little like the Christmas season.  It's a wonderful time when anything can happen.  Take ZeptoLab, for instance.  The studio is still hot on the heels of the recently released Pudding Monsters, but that doesn't mean they don't have plans for the future.  In speaking with Polygon, twin founders Efim and Semyon Voinov have confirmed not one, but four new games that should see the light of day before the end of the year.
