Jillian will play any game with cute characters or an isometric perspective, but her favorites are Fallout 3, Secret of Mana, and Harvest Moon. Her PC suffers from permanent cat-on-keyboard syndrome, which she blames for most deaths in Don’t Starve. She occasionally stops gaming long enough to eat waffles and rewatch Battlestar Galactica.

    We can't always find justification for a villain's actions.  As the consistently astute Alfred tells us in The Dark Knight, "Some men just want to watch the world burn."  And some, like King Oddball, want to do so while wearing the moon as a helmet.

    It doesn't take much for a colorful, kill-everything-on-screen strategy game to win my affection. Throw in solid touch controls (check), epic music (check), and unique gameplay (check) and I'm sold. So what is Castle Raid missing? Everything else.

    The endless runner: #1 on the list of "game genres I never want to recreate in real life."  Thanks to Temple Run's disarming level of popularity, players can now enjoy this nightmarish genre in almost any setting imaginable, from the cookie-cutter (literally) Ginger Run to the high espionage of Agent Dash.  Miniclip's latest release, Rail Rush, sends us to an underground mine where gold, lava, and three infinitely long sets of railroad tracks await.
