Jillian will play any game with cute characters or an isometric perspective, but her favorites are Fallout 3, Secret of Mana, and Harvest Moon. Her PC suffers from permanent cat-on-keyboard syndrome, which she blames for most deaths in Don’t Starve. She occasionally stops gaming long enough to eat waffles and rewatch Battlestar Galactica.

    Droidscape: Basilica could be like nothing we've ever played before.  Whether this results from its head-tracking gameplay, stop-motion animation, or surprisingly in-depth backstory, at least one feature of the futuristic action-puzzler is bound to resonate with players.  More likely, all the promising pieces will work together to create a symphonic swell of iOS gaming bliss greater than the sum of its parts, but we still want to discuss those parts anyway.

    The Last Door: Chapter Two - Memories begins in a style similar to The Letter, placing us in limited control of an unknown priest as he performs ritualistic flagellation in his room.  We're soon returned to the familiar company of Devitt, now seeking mental counseling for the events he experienced in the first chapter of our tale.  With Anthony's haunting parting words weighing heavily on his mind, Devitt travels to the boarding school where they grew up in the hope of learning what led him to this fate.

    You may think you've seen Ittle Dew before: the green-robed, blonde-haired heroine seems directly linked to Nintendo's adventure star and even comes equipped with her own fairylike companion.  With a thirst for treasure and little more than a trusty stick to her name, the barefoot conquistador does find herself in locations befitting the The Legend of Zelda's Hylian hero, but must use more brains than brawn to find her way back out.

    Gameglobe is a game creation engine and community developed by Square Enix and Bigpoint.  The browser-based builder launched in closed beta in summer of 2012 and is now available for open play by anyone with an internet connection.  This series will explore the features, benefits, and challenges of Gameglobe through the process of building a game from scratch.  In this week's entry, we cover the basics of Gameglobe, build the first region of our game world, and find a new use for seagulls.

    Paul Franzen may have doomed his newest project by admitting in the teaser trailer: "It doesn't have zombies.  It doesn't have ninjas.  It doesn't have dinosaurs."  While we struggle to breathe through the meme-sobs this admittance has caused, let's consider what still-promising The Beard in the Mirror does have: a LucasArts/Sierra-inspired point-and-click style, a story of modern adult malaise-meets-childlike fantasy, and an absolutely charming husband-and-wife team that are infectiously passionate about their creation.

    Right off the bat, Toki Tori 2+ feels different than its 2001 predecessor.  Instead of a lengthy narrative intro detailing the reason for Toki Tori's adventure, we're thrust into his chicken feet, plodding forward as dangerous geysers of oil burst out of the ground.  Toki's friends scatter before us, leaving the plump, eponymous hero alone in a deteriorating world.  Toki pushes onward, through the vast island that has replaced the singular stages of Toki Tori, ready to reunite with his flock and save the day once more.

    After four years of exploding, punching, and sheep-bombing annelids on iOS, it's a wonder there are any worms left.  But if the upcoming release of Worms 3 is any indication, Team17 has enough wriggling warriors remaining to fill at least one more game with their adorable corpses.  Can we hope for two more?  That depends on how many you kill in Worms 3, and what weird worm regeneration techniques those Team17ers have developed.
