    In many ways, the social media revolution that has changed the world over the last decade has its beginnings in the illicit music trade that sprang up on Napster beginning in 1999. Call it piracy, call it immoral, but it opened the world to music that many of us had never heard before; music, indeed, that never would have come to our little music shops on the other side of the world. At the time, it seemed revolutionary. Clicking through the random player-made clubs on Basil Box's new social game ClubBox, I experienced something akin to that sense of discovery for the first time in years, and it's worth a look for that reason alone. And best of all, it's legal.

MetroGames' Auto Hustle seeks to change all that. Taking Rockstar's famed and controversial Grand Theft Auto formula and sprinkling it with a few doses of social gaming, Auto Hustle brings GTA's saga of car theft, mass murder, and inevitable reckless driving to Facebook while suffering a few wrecks in the process.

    When in doubt, use breasts. That seems to be the logic behind 6 Waves' Simply Hospital, which starts out with a full screen view of a nurse in a low-cut blouse that unavoidably draws attention to certain extravagant proportions. Clicking refresh sometimes reveals yet another voluptuous attendant with her needle at the ready, and certain other introductory screens suggest that we might be in for a couple of hours of adult-themed entertainment. Antics such as these usually result from a last-ditch effort to hide a game's flaws with cheap eye candy, but Simply Hospital is actually a surprisingly decent and humorous hospital sim that nevertheless leaves a cold, clinical taste in your mouth at times.

    Directly or indirectly inspired by the 1985 comedy Brewster's Millions, App Genius' My Mad Millions requires you to spend every last penny of $300,000,000 as quickly as possible to qualify for an even larger inheritance. It's actually not an easy task, and if you're like me, you'll come away from the game wondering just how so many celebrities manage to go bankrupt despite earning figures that make my graduate student loans look like chump change. Still, it's an entertaining concept, and one that even yields a very slim chance of making some real-world money on the side.

    Exactly thirty years ago, Namco changed the world of video games forever when they released a game about an anthropomorphized yellow circle that ran around gobbling up ghosts. This month, the famed developer's American division jumped into Facebook with the tale of adventurous cricentinae with a taste for plunder and a penchant for making salty swabbies walk the plank. As it stands, Hamster Pirates isn't likely to achieve Pac-Man's success, but there's plenty of booty here for would-be merciless rodents.

RedAtom's Treasure Life reminds us that this, too, can be fun, although the game is still digging for a proper direction.

    Bubble Town is hardly the cozy village that it used to be. After a wise redesign and several incarnations on multiple platforms ranging from PC to the iPhone and Facebook, Bubble Town's comical little Borbs have their sights on global domination of a sort, and they're calling it a Party Planet. Bubble Town: Party Planet's visuals and gameplay differ very little from I-Play's standard popular homage to bubble poppers such as Snood and Bust-A-Move, opting for a greater focus on social interaction and additional levels. The problem, sadly, is getting to them.
