Super Hexagon Review

Since I've started playing it, I've heard countless theories on how to best the endlessly twisting geometric minefield of Super Hexagon. Keep your eyes on the outer edges of the screen to stay ahead of incoming walls. Avoid staring at the rotating background. Make sure to stare at the rotating background. In truth, though, it's all heresay. There's only one thing you need to do for certain in this retro-tinged thunderdome. Only one strategy: avoid everything.

Assassin’s Creed Utopia Preview

When you think of the word "utopia," what comes to mind? A place without suffering, full of fulfilled dreams and meandering days? Where no one has to go without something essential, and everyone loves and respects one another. Or perhaps a heavily wooded training ground full of assassins doing battle and fighting for dominance? Huebrix Review

Gloating. Hubris. Pride. It goes by many names, but proves equally annoying in the wrong hands. And nothing spurs it on like proficiency at video games. The smug smiles watching others struggle. The "humble brags" casually mentioning achievements and records. Well if you happen to be a brain teaser fan that knows - or worse, is - a particularly prideful puzzle gamer, I'm happy to tell you that there's an app for that: its name is Huebrix.

Everyone's got their baggage. That uncle you don't really want to talk about. Teenage years as a bullied nerd. The father that may or may not have been involved in committing you to a mental asylum, leaving you with only your frayed mind and sentient stuffed rabbit to keep you company...all with the hopes that you can use flashes of your past to recover memories necessary to escape and make sense of it all. Okay, that's the kind of baggage reserved for Edna & Harvey: The Breakout.

Developers react as Steam implements $100 fee for Greenlight

It seems the light in Valve's community-driven game approval system has been proverbially downgraded to yellow. In an announcement pushed out September 4th, the company identified a "significant amount of noise and clutter" being submitted to Greenlight, resulting in less than ideal discoverability for worthy projects. As a result, they've added a $100 submission fee (which Valve will donate to charity) for all hoping to post their potential next big thing.

Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe Preview

As someone who likes to game all the things, I generally dislike it when a gem slips through my fingers. So imagine my dismay when I realized today that there is a colorful, frenetic flash arcade puzzler called Super Puzzle Platformer that I haven't even heard of. While I have you in my imagination, though, you may as well picture my delight in the knowledge that it's being re-released better than ever, as Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe.

Year Walk Preview

For over a week, something very mysterious has been going on at Simogo HQ. The Swedish duo behind Beat Sneak Bandit and Bumpy Road has been teasing out facts about their fourth game in the form of a picture, .gif, and even morse code-based scavenger hunt. Astute fans on the Touch Arcade forums got as far as decoding the game's tentative name - Lake Wary - to identify a domain owned by Simogo: yearwalk.com. Today, that domain went live, and it seems the mystery? It's only beginning.

If it wasn't enough that the neighbourhood kids assume she was obsessed with apples, a thief has snuck on to her property and absconded with some of her prized possessions. Well, she's not going to take it anymore. Armed with rollerblades and a shocking spryness for her age, she's off on a quest to retrieve... her apples. After all, she is obsessed with them.
