Gang up on your friends and beat them into oblivion, of course! Well in Ant Raid, that's what you're up to. Thankfully, beating up your monstrous ex-friends has never been more fun.

    When the iPad launched, it was called a "magical" device. Sure it does an awful lot of cool stuff, and there are a lot of great games now for it, but a truly magical app that compliments the iPad? Those are few and far between. Glowfish, from MumboJumbo games, sprinkles an ample helping of magic around your iOS experience.

    Don't you just love CityVille Hometown on the iPhone? All that stuff to do, the social interaction, the customization? Apparently, Japan Life loves it too. Not to the point that it's a rip-off, but there's a strong resemblance. That doesn't stop it from being a fun social title, but it does lose points for lack of originality.

    The block-breaker genre is older than dirt. Heck, the first real videogame, an oscilloscope tennis game, was the precursor to Breakout, Arkanoid and even Ninendo's Alleyway. At this point, it's a big surprise to see anyone do something new, particularly a big company like Gameloft. And yet, Block Breaker 3 Unlimited brings something incredible to the table that makes it a must-play arcade game.

    "Powered by Unreal Technology." It's a big selling point for any app these days. But some developers seem to forget that just because you use one of the most advanced graphics engines on the iPhone doesn't mean you can forget to, you know, make an actual game. PD -prope discoverer- (yes, that's the name, and every time I mention it in this review, you'll have to read this) is a decent-looking demo for constructing an environment, but there's nothing else there.

    First impressions are everything. If you go to meet that perfect date with bad hair or terrible B.O., it doesn't matter how good things are after those first five seconds. Mini Café, unfortunately, starts off a bit poorly. But like the lovable guy who just forgot to shower, Mini Café soon doffs its negative first impressions into a restaurant game that's well worth playing.

    The name Sonic the Hedgehog is synonymous with gaming. Back in the 1990s, it was Sega's answer to Nintendo's Mario. He was everything Mario wasn't: fast, cool and hip. Of course within a decade, Sega stopped making gaming consoles and started making Sonic games for Nintendo's systems. Despite this, Sega still tries to put him in the same league as Mario. With its almost shameless Mario Kart ripoff of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sega does a really commendable job. But just like the rest of Sonic's games, it's just not as good as Mario's.
