    When Puzzle Quest came out, nobody had seen anything like it. Its combination of match-three gameplay and RPG character building was a huge breath of fresh air. Konami has tried to change things up again with Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night, a re-telling of its classic PlayStation title Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Amazingly, Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night manages to feel free and new like Puzzle Quest, and yet stays true to its roots as an action/exploration game.

    Ever think to yourself "why didn't I think of this?" There will certainly be a number of developers saying this after taking a look at Aqueduct, a new slider/pipe puzzle hybrid for the iPhone. Though certainly not perfect, it shows that a great idea, solidly implemented, can be a great experience.

    With vampires getting all mushy and romantic with the recent explosion of the Twilight series - not to mention good ol' Buffy the Vampire Slayer - it's nice to see someone remembering that these creatures of the night are meant to stalk and consume for their own selfish, dark needs. In doing so, BigStack Studios has made Dead of Night, a game that sucks… in a great way.

    It's amazing what a single update can do. In the process of reviewing Max Injury 2, a major update came out and transformed a game that was almost unplayable into a fun title. While why the developers initially let such a substandard product be released is confusing, Max Injury 2 has become a decent timewaster for your iPhone.

    Physics games seem to be gaining a lot of fans these days. At the time of this review, Angry Birds has remained at or near the top spot in the App Store for nearly six months. Grenade-fest Fragger isn't too far behind. So it makes sense that the popular Flash game Wake up the Box! has made its debut on the iPhone as well. Too bad it ends up as a lightweight addition.
