      CandyMeleon Review

      By David Oxford

CandyMeleon is the type of game which feels like it would have been right at home in arcades in the early 80s, but with graphics and sound a bit more befitting a contemporary title. The premise of the game is that you are in control of a cartoon chameleon with a craving for candy, and one who has a bit of swagger in his walk at that. Fortunately, as he walks through the woods, candy is in abundance, and your goal is to catch as much of it as possible: either by tilting your device left or right to move, or by tapping the screen to flick his long, sticky tongue skyward.

      Robot Unicorn Attack 2 Review

      By David Oxford

As the number "2" in the title indicates, Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is the sequel to the amazingly popular (or is it so amazing, given My Little Pony) Adult Swim game Robot Unicorn Attack. And as a sequel, this one manages to keep what worked in the original game while adding just the right enhancements to differentiate without alienating fans.

      Ninja Slash Review

      By David Oxford

Endless runners have a tendency to be rather same-y, even despite aesthetics. Sure, a few twists may be integrated, but they tend to run into the same general problems. And while Ninja Slash may not successfully evade all of them, at least it makes an honest effort to keep things fresh.

      WWE Presents: Rockpocalypse Review

      By David Oxford

When The Rock isn't playing the role of part-time WWE Champion on Monday Night Raw, he can often be found playing other parts on various movie sets. But something strange is happening in Studio 51, and it seems everyone around has either gone missing or wants The Rock dead (or at least beaten severely). Are they rabid John Cena fans? Movie critics who think five Fast & Furious movies was enough?

      Epic Battle Fantasy 4 Review

      By David Oxford

When we first heard the name "Epic Battle Fantasy," we can't exactly say it grabbed us, as it doesn't sound like the name of a game with very high aspirations for quality or innovation. On the other hand, if there have been three others to date, then there must be something going for them, even if only a stubborn developer, right?

      Purple Cape Review

      By David Oxford

On the surface, Purple Cape seems to have a lot of promise, combining physics-style touchscreen gameplay with platforming action. Unfortunately, no matter what color the cape, players will more likely be left just seeing a lot of red by the time they're finished with it.

      Dr. Jolt Review

      By David Oxford

While the name might initially evoke thoughts of store-brand knock-off sodas, Dr. Jolt on iOS is a puzzle game (don't be fooled by the "adventure" part on the game's iTunes page) which features a clever premise, but a slightly-flawed execution.

      After Burner Climax Review

      By David Oxford

If you're old enough to remember the heyday of arcades and SEGA's participation in the home console market as a platform holder, rather than a third party, then you may remember After Burner, the game which placed you right in the cockpit of a fighter jet as you engaged the enemy with machine guns and missile fire. This port of 2006's After Burner Climax leaves the rotating cockpit in the arcade, and unfortunately, that's not all it left behind.
