    I probably shouldn't keep being surprised when I get blown away by the graphics in a mobile game nowadays, but holy moley Mass Effect: Infiltration is gorgeous. It's the sort of knock-down gobsmackingly gorgeous to look at that makes you wonder how it's running on the device you're holding. The game has a tough bar to live up to with Mass Effect 3 just having been released on more powerful consoles, and while it's not THAT good, it's a lot closer than it has any right to be. Infilitration is just fantastic.

    In Incoboto you play as Inco, and he's all alone. Not just alone on his planet, but seemingly throughout the entire galaxy. Here and there suns have been burning out, no longer providing life-giving warmth and light to the planets orbiting them. Now, there's only one sun remaining who goes by the name Helios. He's come to have Inco track down and feed him stars to help him re-light the dead suns and bring life back to the galaxy. Why is a sun stopping by, talking to a boy and demanding to be fed? Dunno, but just go with it.

    Storydeck: Steampunk is an interesting beast to get a grasp on. It's not really a game. But I don't mean that in the same way as when I say it about something like To The Moon or Dear Esther. Those are more artistic expressions that tell their stories through the construct of a video game. Sometimes I'll even use the shudderingly awkward term "interactive fiction." No, this is something very different.

    I remember playing arcade games in an arcade. Not in a funplex, or brightly lit birthday center mind you, but in a dingy, dark, cavern of cacophonous sounds and flashing lights. So I bring a certain amount of expectation to these "retro" collections, and Midway Arcade is no different.

    When CD-ROM's came out in the early 90's, developers had actual space for data, so they could spend time on making a game look really cool. It's largely why Myst was so mind-blowingly successful. It's ironic really, since I'd wager most people that bought/played Myst really didn't like it. The Lost City definitely takes a large dose of inspiration from that seminal game, so could it suffer the same fate?

    The zombie horde is at it again. Shuffle, mumble, braiiiiiins, munch. Rinse and repeat, you know the drill. In Operation: Eradicate your task is to overcome the zombie hordes and get the disease under control before a tipping point is reached and the population of the entire world is devoured. To do this you'll assemble a 2 to 4 person team that will work together to move around the planet, fighting back the infected while trying to find a cure to the disease.

    Retro Racing feels like a cross between Rally-X and R.C. Pro-Am -- 2 old school classics. Not directly mind you, more in inspiration or "feel" than anything else. But still, those are two top-notch racers in my book, so if that's where my mind wandered while playing I take that as a pretty good sign. But, did that positive feeling stick around the longer I played?

You get the girl. You step on your brakes a second earlier and don't cause that accident. You never said that thing that made her walk out the door and you lived together forever. Instead of staying at your dead end job you followed your dream of living in Italy. You get the idea.
