    The gold rush of tabletop games to iOS titles continues unabated. As a board and card game fan, this has been most welcome. It's one of the main reasons I bought an iPad. Even better is by and large they've been well worth playing. Next to take a shot at impressing me is Take It Easy. Does it have what it takes to survive the dog eat dog world of my iPad's home screen?

    Dungeon Crawlers isn't just the name of a genre anymore. Now that genre is also the name of a game! Not all that surprisingly it's about, well, dungeon crawling. Sure, they're not winning any points for brazen titles, but it has everything you could want in aDiablo-esque dungeon exploring game. Goblins, oozes, treasures, weapons, magic and... Ghostbusters references?

    It's pretty much universally acknowledged that Telltale's Jurassic Park games were terrible. They were really nothing more than poorly implemented quicktime events. The story was ok, but slogging through the gameplay wasn't worth the story bits you got out of it. Suddenly all of the announced games in Telltale's line-up were called into question, and enthusiasm was tempered. Would they have time to avoid similar pitfalls and right the ship? Now we have an answer with The Walking Dead. That answer is.... mostly.

    When I was a young'un, the things we would consider video games or digital entertainment was wildly different than what we enjoy today. This isn't a "you kids today" talk, because I'm not saying it was better back then... it's just changed a lot. Text adventure game were a legitimate genre back then, and they were compelling, and decidely low-tech. Really more akin to a choose your own adventure book than what you might think of as a video game. There's not many around these days, but Fallen London does a good job of evoking the feelings of playing one while bringing those feelings to date.

    If you first encountered the internet, say, three years ago, you'd be excused for wondering about our intense fascination with cats and their special speech patterns. I'll admit to thinking quite a few are pretty hilarious in their time, though I'd also admit that for the most part I think that ship has sailed and the Cheeseburger loving cat that had his time in the sun is about ready to move into the digital pasture so we can find something new to laugh at. So making a game about one of those cats now seems ill-timed.

    In Letterbox, you start with a 9X7 grid of blocks with different letters on them. You'll endeavor to clear blocks away from the stack by spelling out letters. Similar to a word hunt, you'll tap connecting letters to spell out words. The longer the word, the more points you get. Once you clear a word other blocks will then settle into place, though sometimes there are gaps left behind. You'll clear as many blocks as you can before running out of moves.

    I have a laundry list of things I plan on doing as soon as my wife and I get out of our condo and into a proper house. Get a dog, think about having a kid, buy a pinball machine, have more parties, etc. In addition to those, one of the things high on my list is the acquisition of a nice Crokinole board. I'd wager most of my friends don't even know what crokinole is, and they run a few hundred bucks, but man do I want one. Until then I have to make do with digital versions, like Clockwork Crokinole.

    From the outside looking in, drag racing looks pretty easy when you get down to it. I mean the building of the car seems like the tough part. On race day you just go fast and straight. Right? I'm sure there's a lot more to it, but to the untrained eye it's easy to miss any of those nuances. I'm not alone though, as the developers of Drag Racing: Bike Edition have boiled their gameplay down to something pretty super simple as well.
