    Cradle of Rome 2 is the sequel to the immensely popular and addictive Cradle of Rome match-3 game. Fans of the series will be happy to know that now much has changed between the two games, so if you were looking for some new Cradle to Rome action look no further. There's a downside to this however, the game is so similar you may wonder what's been changed at all.

Combining the tried and tested gameplay of board games with the portability and solo options of the iPhone make for good times. Conversely, hidden object games are a big hit with the casual PC crowd.     I don't envy the job of the air traffic controller. It seems like a job that is stressful beyond measure. Not exactly the kind of job we look to step into when we sit down to play a video game. Rock star, race car driver, football player... these are more like it. Pretty much the opposite end of the spectrum from guiding planes so they don't crash in midair. So it's a bit surprising that a game where you have to do that can be compelling, but Flight Control HD is just that.

    There are so many twin stick shooter games on the App Store it's increasingly hard to distinguish between them or get excited for any of them at this point. As players there's certainly a growing feeling that we've seen all this game style has to offer, which makes it harder for developers to find a fresh idea or to get our attention. Much to our delight, Wispin has put a unique spin on the genre and made something pretty special and fresh.

    As someone that's been around since the very beginning of video games, I'm loving this mini-renaissance in the past few years of old school making a comeback. Granted, they're branded as "retro" and the kids that play them don't necessarily know the source material, but I'll take what I can get. Robot Wants Kitty is a perfect example of said renaissance, offering simple controls, low-res graphics, a goofy story and fun gameplay.

    I'm still amazed that after all these years I can still be so addicted to match-3 games. I mean, it's such a simple concept you think it would've run its course long long ago. Yet, here I am... spending more than a few hours matching blocks in Season Match: Curse of the Witch Crow, just as addicted to it now as I've ever been. If you're a fellow match-3 fan, read on because I think you'll like what you hear.

    In sitting down to write this review, I got to thinking about twin-stick shooters and how long they've been around. Really, they've been here since practically the beginning. First getting popular with Robotron 2084 in the arcades. Through the years they've followed us, really coming into their own when games got dual analog sticks to work with. They've also found a natural home on the iPhone, and Gun Bros is one of the finest examples.
