    Pac-Man has been around since the very beginning of this whole thing we know as video games, so you can kind of imagine that it's a bit hard to keep something like that engaging and relevant in today's marketplace. Most of the time companies try to do a Pac-Man "thing" it fails. But Namco succeeded with Pac-Man Championship Edition, THQ with Treasure Grab, and now Nyarlu Labs has succeeded with Forget-Me-Not.

    I have been and always will be a fan of the twin stick shooter. Be it an old example like Robotron 2084 or Smash T.V. or something very recent like Gun Bros. I've always just had an affinity for them. There's something to the idea of being able to move and shoot in different directions, and when done well is fantastic for letting you slip in "the zone" letting you bob and weave around baddies while blowing them apart. Men Vs. Machines is a great example of this, but feels a little too familiar.

    I'm not shocked the new Atari Greatest Hits collection for iOS isn't very good. I'm sad to be sure, but not surprised. Retro game emulation has been tried by many companies many many times already, always trading on nostalgia and not much else. It's true these old games have a limited appeal, but simply slapping them on the latest devices does them nothing but a disservice. It's a shame.

    Race After 1977 is a game about racing in a post-apocalyptic world. Think Mad Max, but taking place in the 70's. There's really nothing about the game that screams 70's, except of course the title. Racing across the charred landscape of a destroyed world can be a lot of fun, but it's a crowded genre to be sure. Does Race After 1977 have what it takes to survive?

    Ahh, tower defense. It's a tried and true genre that lets you interact with the game to set up your defences and then hit a switch to see what happens. You watch your towers go to work trying to stop bad guys from getting through, and when it's over you repeat the process. When created well they can be very compelling, but when done poorly they're just boring. Sadly, Maze Defense is the latter.

    Death Rally is one of those games that warms my cold little jaded heart. It wasn't that long ago that this game hit my radar, but when I found out it was developer Remedy in the driver's seat (see what I did there) I got excited. You see Death Rally was the company's first PC game way back in the 90's, so it's only fitting that they would get to resurrect it. And man oh man, what a resurrection it is.

    I can't figure out if Chicken Balls is either a brilliant or unfortunate title for a game. I'm learning toward unfortunate, I can't imagine people are eager to tell their friends how they're playing with something called Chicken Balls. You might be able to get away with it if the game is incredible, but when it's just ok... well, Chicken Balls may be a hard sell. Every time I mention it in this review and try not to apply it to some weird double enterdre - it's harder than you think.
