    Another free-to-play business simulation game has launched on the iOS platform with Breaktime Studios' new app, Sweet Shop. As yet another addition to the sim genre though, it's hard to truly classify the title as "new," and even more difficult as Breaktime takes the TeamLava route of essentially reskinning one of its older games. In this case it's the app of Pocket Potions, and while that wasn't a bad game, the newest incarnation does absolutely nothing different.

    There's something to be said about the strange. But even when things appear a bit odd, the stylization of it can truly make a game pop. Such is the case with the new iOS title of Jazz: Trump's Journey. A platforming game set in what looks to be a 1920's version of New Orleans. The title offers a semi-interesting story coupled with a beautifully wacky art style. Along with a few new, or at least uncommon, platforming mechanics, this release from BulkyPix is a quality number for fans of the genre.

    Yes, it's time for yet another casino-style Facebook game, and the latest to join the fray is Jackpotjoy Casino. From the developer behind Jackpotjoy Slots, the game consists of the standard set of casino concepts. This well-crafted application gives you quite an array of choice, with everything from cards and slots to roulette. A solid single-player experience, the game can be fun in the right hands, but such does seem counter intuitive considering to social nature of Facebook and casinos in general. Other than some leaderboards, social features are distinctly lacking.

A sort of "location-based" role playing game, the title feels more lazy than innovative, offering nothing significant other than a gimmick that does nothing but provide novelty.

    The popular iOS picture-guessing game of Charadium has received a shiny new coat of paint and has been updated and transformed into Charadium II. Containing all the same elements that made the original enjoyable, the multiplayer application of crudely drawn concoctions and random guesses now comes with a handful of new drawing tools and features to play with. That said, the title also comes with much of the same quandaries of its predecessor as well.

    WeTopia is the latest city-builder to hit Facebook, and its cartoony, quasi-3D art style is bringing with it all the standards players have come to know as well as a little bit of charity. Tying play into donations to non-profit organizations aiding children in both Haiti and the United States, the game is nothing terribly original from a design perspective, but at the very least, it is for a good cause

Following the same thread as games like Nightclub City, the app is all about making the biggest and wildest alien nightclub in the galaxy. Unfortunately the result is a bit uneven, as for every great mechanic it adds, there is something else that just feels average.
