    There's no doubt that Fruit Ninja is an enjoyable game, and as such it has seen its fair share of clones. Open Name has developed a variation on the concept with the snippety game Cut the Buttons. Comprised of that familiar, yet still different, visceral gratification that Fruit Ninja fans have come to enjoy, Cut the Buttons is a great procrastination tool for eating up a few minutes at any given time. Though its design isn't the most ergonomic control setup in the world, at least it isn't a carbon copy of an already popular title.

    Indian developer Zapak has launched its newest endeavor into social games with the release of CricVille on Facebook. A sports management game with moderate active play, the app is all about running a successful cricket franchise. Nevertheless, it's a design that is strikingly familiar. Looking beyond the "Ville" tag popularized by Zynga, its core play and even aesthetic have been seen almost verbatim in soccer/football apps of the past.

    Pocket Gems has released a "new" game for iOS called Tappily Ever After. Another simulation-style app, the real name should just be Tap Zoo 3; or maybe even Tap Zoo 2.5. Consisting of virtually the exact formula of its Tap Zoo predecessors, no significant innovation enters into this game and consists only of a new aesthetic and loose storytelling. Along with this, little thought appears to have been placed into the game's economy, as content costs feel random at best.

    Free-to-play games have a tremendous potential to be fantastic deals due to their optimal price tag. That said, there is often a challenge in finding that sweet spot between how much in-app content need be purchased without limiting the game in general. Glu Mobile's new iOS release, Rogue Racing, walks that line a bit hap-hazardly. Well-paced and visually appealing for a free mobile racer, it presses a bit too hard in trying to get players to pay-to-play in a way that hinders the experience.

    The iOS platform is a fantastic space for creative games, but every once and a while it can be a bit difficult to classify them. Gorilla Gondola is a new title for the platform, and it falls somewhat into this category. Essentially a variant of the platforming genre, it's a simple game that comes off as rather charming and a refreshing change of pace from the constant deluge of business simulations and zombie apps. That said, it's far from perfect, containing some frustrating "platform" sequences coupled with a rather harsh fail mechanic.

That said, it's nothing terribly innovative and the questions asked are quite difficult, even at the best of times. Additionally, the new title tends to make some odd choices in terms of category selection.

Consisting of the normal gamut of bingo rules, it has all the expected essentials but also comes coupled with several other game modes that make not only the core game fun, but add a bit of fiscal incentive as well.
