    When it comes to time management/strategy games, most players know exactly what to expect going in: each level contains a series of tasks that must be completed by balancing the use of resources found in the environment. It's the twists and enhancements that developers implement in each game that makes one stand apart from the next, but in the case of Building the Great Wall of China, most of its alterations do far more harm than good to the final product.

    When there are historical inaccuracies and frame rate issues in the opening cutscene of a video game, you know you're in trouble, and with Alexander the Great: Secrets of Power, we get both. By most accounts, Alexander the Great was a dark-haired man with two different colors of eyes, but here, we're immediately introduced to a blonde man with light eyes that looks nothing like most representations of the worldly conqueror. Unfortunately, the game's lack of attention to detail only gets worse from there.

    Realore's Island Tribe saga has reached its fourth installment, and we find our friendly islanders challenged with one more quest: to help save a formerly evil Shaman from his curse across tropical islands, ancient Egypt, China and even Scandinavia. But while Island Tribe 4 comes with all of the time management gameplay that we've come to expect from the rest of the series, it still falls short of the genre's best games.

    Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden follows a young woman on a mission to save her lost boyfriend that went missing on a recent dive. Upon reaching his last known location, our heroine discovers the lost underwater city of Eden, which comes with art deco architecture and feels incredibly similar to the city of Rapture from Bioshock. Luckily, the design of Rapture is a beautiful piece of work to be inspired by, and so too is Eden a beautiful, creepy environment to explore.

    In MumboJumbo's fifth installment in the 7 Wonders franchise, 7 Wonders: Ancient Alien Makeover, we continue to see some of the most highly polished match-three play this side of Bejeweled, with an interesting Wonder/city-building mechanic thrown in for depth. The 7 Wonders series has never been known for complex storylines and extraordinary gameplay variety, but this series continues to be one that's easy to start playing, yet incredibly hard to put down.

    Lost in Night is one match-three game that feels odd from the very beginning. It entirely lacks an introduction or cutscenes, and instead throws you straight into one of three match-three modes. After just a few levels, it becomes clear that Lost in Night's attempted inspiration are the games in the Cradle Of Rome series, as your main challenge is to build a cute and whimsical town on a grassy knoll. However, with limited instructions and no real depth of which to speak, this is one experience that's hard to cradle.
