    Most hidden object games, even those that deal with the dark subject of murder, tend to do so with a relatively light touch. Players are told more than they're shown, and they're rarely told much: Someone has died and it's up to you to save the day. Not so with Redrum: Time Lies, the follow-up to the 2008 release Redrum. Graphic and disturbing is the name of this game, and you'll definitely want to make sure the kids are out of the room before you jump in.

    Enlightenus 2: The Timeless Tower is a hidden object game with a twist: There are no hidden objects. In fact, it's not really fair to call it a hidden object game at all, because it's really more of a "hiding objects game." Sound strange? It is, at first, but it's also very good, and gamers who give it a chance will be pleasantly surprised by what they find inside.

    It's not very often that I'll just come right out and say that a game is flat-out bad. Then again, it's not very often that I run into a game like Immortal Lovers. It's a poorly-designed, technically flawed and utterly shameless attempt to cash in on the Twilight craze with a tale about wicked wolves, conflicted vampires and an angsty teenage girl that's so immeasurably insipid that it makes Stephenie Meyer look like William Shakespeare. There's just no other word for it: it's bad.

    The first in a planned series of adventures starring the feisty, freckled (and rather oddly-named) Epiphany O'Day, Secrets of the Dragon Wheel is a solid but unremarkable hidden object game packed with adventure, intrigue and murder most foul. There's some good fun to be found within but hidden object veterans would be well-advised to go in with tempered expectations, as it has very little to offer that hasn't been seen before.

    The violent, scheming antics of the ancient Greek pantheon makes it one of the most interesting collections of mythological figures in the history of humanity. It's really too bad that the same can't be said about Ancient Adventures: Gift of Zeus. It's a reasonably competent hidden object game with with a smattering of simple puzzles and some serious scene repetition that offers absolutely nothing that most of us haven't played many times before.
