    I'm not entirely sure what to make of Dungeon Village. The controls aren't great, the graphics are cramped and dull, and the single-song soundtrack will burrow into your brain like some sort of instrumental "Song That Never Ends." On the other hand, the very first time I started playing it, I didn't stop until my battery died. It's that kind of game; I don't know why, I don't know how, but the more I play it, the more I want to play it.

    Heads up, strategy fans! Outwitters, the upcoming game from Tilt to Live studio One Man Left, isn't quite ready for prime time, but it's already looking pretty good. The studio describes it as a "multiplayer strategy/board game" that will offer pass 'n' play action, unranked online pickup matches and, most important of all, ranked online league games. "The meat of the action is in the leagues, where a whole world of blood-thirsty strangers will be clawing their way to fortune and glory," One Man Left says. "Mostly just glory."

    Da New Guys: Day of the Jackass is the latest adventure of three professional wrestlers from England who have emigrated to the United States to ply their trade in the modern-day coliseum known as the Wrestling Zone. A setup like that sounds almost unavoidably funny, but this point-and-click adventure manages to miss the mark anyway with flat dialog, dull gameplay and a story that's neither charming nor deep enough to make up for it.

    Fantastic Creations: House of Brass starts strongly, with an intriguing tale of immortality and the promise of lost love renewed in a magical, steam-driven house, and it even tries to mix things up with its own unique twist on the hidden object genre. And it's pretty good - but it stumbles a bit, and never quite manages to raise itself above the crowded ranks of decent, conventional, but unremarkable hidden object adventures.

    On the surface, Film Fatale: Lights, Camera, Madness! is entirely unremarkable in just about every way. It's graphically bland, not very challenging, and almost criminally short. Yet it's also the most fun I've had with a hidden object game in a very long time. It's a classic example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts - and it's a blast.
