    What to make of Resonance? It's a competent old-school adventure that deserves credit for trying something different, but it stumbles over that boldness as much as it succeeds. The slow-boiling mystery ultimately makes it a worthwhile investment, but I can't help thinking that it's held back from true greatness by the very system that makes it so unique.

    This Constantine I review is going to be pretty short, because I didn't play it for very long. I didn't play it for very long because by the time I got through the tutorial section, I didn't have enough "gems" left to unlock more of the game. And I wasn't willing to buy more gems to unlock more of the game because, to be blunt, I was happy to have an excuse to stop playing.

    Previous LEGO games, like LEGO Batman and LEGO Star Wars, have been surprisingly good, but the upcoming LEGO Lord of the Rings looks like it might just be the one game to rule them all. We haven't seen much of it yet, but the screenshots and preview trailer look brilliant, with minifig representations of the entire Fellowship ("minifigs" is the official name of the famous little LEGO guys, by the way) and a big, blocky, not-at-all-mini version of the Balrog that caused so much trouble for the group on their way through Moria.
