    As zombies become an increasingly common fixture in casual games, it was only a matter of time until a cute, marketable version of the shambling horde made its way to Facebook. Zombiees! is a text RPG that casts you as a college student trying to fight his or her away across campus during a zombie outbreak. You can complete missions by fighting your way through different types of rotting college-students-turned-undead like hipsters and geeks, or head into the Zombie Fight Club to pit your own personal horde of friendly zombies against rival hordes.

    Ideateca's Sumon is a math-based spin on puzzle games that goes far beyond the bounds of your usual match-3 gameplay. In Sumon, players need to add up blocks on a field numbered from one to nine so that they equal a randomly chosen target number, usually between 11 and 15. Where most puzzle games online ask you to match blocks that are adjacent to each other somehow, Sumon encourages players to match blocks regardless of where they are on the field. In fact, the farther away the blocks are when you match them, the better your score.

    Miracle City Online is one of many attempts at bringing city-building games to Android, even though we're wall past the glory days of the city-builder boom when it comes to mobile social gaming. Miracle City Online is nothing special as far as Android city-building sims go: it's completely playable, with a solid interface and a satisfying series of missions to complete. If you're already invested in another Android city-builder or already burnt out on this genre of social game, there's not much for you here. If you've got a precocious kid who likes to build or just want to give a city-builder a spin, though, this isn't a bad one to pick.

    Conquer Online is one of many Asian MMOs that has decided to make itself available on Facebook in the hopes of picking up some new players, using the Kalydo Player to let users play the ordinarily client-based game through the Web. Conquer Online is not one of those games that's redesigned its interface for Facebook or segregated all the Facebook players onto their own server. You appear to get pretty much the same experience in the Facebook version of Conquer Online as in the client-based version available in English.

    Costume Questis a fairly traditional action RPG freshened up almost entirely by its concept. InCostume Quest, you play one of two twins who go out trick-or-treating one Halloween night. Once out, they encounter a race of candy-stealing goblins commanded by an evil witch, one of whom mistakes one of the twins' for a giant piece of candy thanks to a candy corn costume. The other twin (the one you control) vows to rescue the missing sibling by amassing a vast collection of Halloween costumes and teaming up with other kids.

    Meteor Games' Serf Wars "updated" recently. For most games, an update means adding in a new game system or adding more items to a game's cash shop. For Serf Wars, the "update" makes the game so radically different that previous players will be asked to start building their kingdoms over from scratch. While Serf Wars is still basically a simplified medieval castle-building sim, the game's update expands the role of combat in the game dramatically. Overall game balance has also gotten tweaked for the better. You can now build a more interesting kingdom more quickly, with missions to guide your efforts.

    There's a huge market on virtually all platforms for nostalgic retro RPGs that emulate the look and feel of Super Nintendo classics like Final Fantasy II (called IV, these days). Kemco Games's Symphony of Eternity is trying to bring that sort of gameplay to Android handsets and almost succeeds. The actual game content for Symphony of Eternity is completely fine, if a bit on the predictable side and at times poorly-localized. Symphon of Eternity's downfall is in its technical implementation, where bugs can render the game unplayable on some handsets.

    2 Broke Girls is shaping up to be one of the fall TV season's hits, so it's natural that CBS would choose to support the show with the advergame 2 Broke Girls on Facebook (and iOS). 2 Broke Girls is much better than the average advergame, but still has some clear shortcomings. It is only 15 levels long and those levels can easily be cleared in about an hour and a half. While it has an upgrade system that, pleasantly, does not ask you to spend real money on upgrades, the system also highlights some of the basic gameplay problems that make 2 Broke Girls less fun than it could be.
