We’ve had some hands-on time with it, and everything looks like it’s shaping up to be a worthy successor to the Nancy Drew moniker.

We’ve had some hands-on time with it, and everything looks like it’s shaping up to be a worthy successor to the Nancy Drew moniker.
The first Nancy Drew Dossier title was an exceptional hidden-object game, and from what we’ve played, Resorting to Danger! is shaping up to be at that same high level. Her Interactive has a reputation for making high-quality adventures, and this one looks to be no different.
The hand-drawn graphics make their return, as well as the same wonderful voice cast. But it’s the improved interface that has us interested. For instance, in the first game, you had to click on an eye icon to look at an object. Here, if you need to look at something, the game automatically gives you what you need.
As mentioned earlier, there are a lot of tasks for Nancy to complete. While most of it is scouring rooms in the resort for evidence and solving puzzles, there are a variety of mini-games to play. Each one seems to be a fun diversion in its own right, and helps keep the game fresh.
Also, you’ll have to interview suspects. Unlike a lot of other detective games, you don’t just sit there are read the text. Often, you’ll have to remember a clue or something someone said, and select the correct answer from a list in order for the conversation to continue.
As you progress, you’ll earn a score by making successful deductions. Do well enough, and you’ll unlock a special ending for ultimate detectives only. Her Interactive is promising six different endings, giving players a reason to go back again and again.
