The Godfather: Five Families debuts on Google+ before Facebook

The beta for Kabam’s mafia strategy game The Godfather: Five Families has been playable from the developer’s official site for a while now, but today the game is finally migrating to social networks. Or, at least, one social network. Kabam has announced that The Godfather: Five Families will debut on Google+ as a timed exclusive before making its way to Facebook.

The game, which is Kabam’s first licensed title after releasing original strategy games like Global Warfare and Edgeworld (both of which are on Google+, as well), will be exclusive to Google’s social network for the next 45 days, after which it will make its long-awaited debut on Facebook.

The Godfather: Five Families has enjoyed the best ever beta period for a Kabam game,” Kabam CEO Chris Carvalho said. “To support the exclusive launch of The Godfather: Five Families on Google+, Google will provide promotional support to maximize the game’s visibility to Google+ users. This is our fourth title to launch on Google+ and they have repeatedly exceeded our expectations.”

The Google+ version of the game is playable here.
