? When you load the game you will be asked to type in a profile name so that the game will be saved. You can enter several different profile names which allow you to play the game in different modes or to allow multiple players if you choose.
? There is an options button that allows you to change the volume of the game music, sound effects, and narration. You can also change the game from full screen to window mode.
? After you choose your profile name and adjust the game settings you will be asked if you want to play in easy or hard mode.
? Easy Mode – Allows unlimited hints, an optional interactive tutorial mode, faster hint recharge between uses, easy difficulty with mini game puzzles.
? Hard Mode – Limited help, limited hints, slower recharge of hints between uses, mini game puzzles are more difficult.
? Be sure to read about the cursors and hints below before you proceed.
Cursors
? There are several different cursors found in the game which are activated when you touch your cursor to an active part of the scene. These cursors guide you in your actions throughout the game.
? Hand – This allows you to grab an item.
? Gears – This means you need to take an item from inventory and have it act upon another object.
? Eye – This means you can click on an area and get a closer view. Usually with mini games and hidden object scenes.
? Fangs – This happens wherever there is blood which you need to use your special abilities. Always click on bottles or vials of blood when you see them.
How to use Hints/Interactive Tutorial Mode
? Both easy and hard modes give you unlimited hints but hints in easy mode regenerate for use every twenty seconds and in hard mode they regenerate every forty seconds.
? How to use a Hint – At the bottom right corner of the game screen you will at first see Igor and in other scenes this will change to different characters. Place your cursor over the person’s image and click and one of the items in your list will be revealed to you.
? A line with a sparkling white effect will stretch from the character at the bottom right of the screen to the item that is hidden allowing you to easily locate it. This line only stays visible for a few seconds so be sure to pay attention especially in hard mode.
? Interactive Tutorial Mode – You will be asked at the beginning of the game if you would like to turn on the interactive tutorial mode. If you choose “yes” to this feature you will be given hints and shown the locations you are to travel to. A white ring will appear over the next logical location allowing you to find items you need. Each time you enter a new scene there are items you will need to find that act upon other items and the first thing that happens on a new scene is you are shown where these items are located. Click on them and they will move into your inventory area along the bottom of the screen.
? Next, the white glowing circles will appear over the areas those items will act upon or the areas where the cursor turns into a gear. There are also text labels that appear over any item you can use in the game which is very helpful.
? If you get stuck simply wait a few seconds until you see a glowing white circle appear somewhere and then click on that area. If you are in a scene where you can’t do anything or need items from another scene to move forward in the one you are in, the circle will appear on one of the red directional arrows that take you into another scene or the circle will appear in the lower right corner in the small map coffin. This means go back to the map and choose another location. If you have locations that are not yet completed you will see a blood stain over this location on the map. When locations are completed they will disappear from the map or show no blood stain if the location is used again in the future.
Feeding for Blood/Vampire Abilities
? Once Dracula can travel you will start to unlock his abilities. These abilities are noted along the bottom left of the game screen and there are four of them to unlock.
? In order to use these special powers Dracula will need to feed. At times you will come across characters that Dracula can feed off of. You will be asked if you want to do this or not. It is clearly stated that there will be consequences one way or the other. If you choose to feed off of a person you will earn power or energy that allows Dracula to perform special powers that are needed to find items in the game but you will also turn that person into a vampire which could come back to haunt you.
? Feeding off of people is not the only way to get blood for Dracula. There are bottles or vials of blood strategically placed in the different locations. (Not in the hidden object scenes) Sometimes the blood is in hard to see places such as on flowers or pouring from fountains. Keep your eyes posted for these blood sources. When you place your cursor over a blood source it will turn into a set of fangs. When you click on the item you will hear a sucking sound and the entire border of the game screen will turn red for a few short seconds. You will also notice the meter at the left side of the screen has filled up a little bit.
? When you need to use an ability you will see a red star with a circle around it any time you put the cursor in that area. Click on it to read a hint message along the top of the screen if you are not sure which ability needs to be used.
? Remember you must have blood in the meter to use it.
? Vampire Vision – The first power you will unlock allows you to see through certain items that are normally invisible..
? Telekinesis – The second power which allows you to move items from far distances.
? Strength – The third power gives you super strength to move heavy items.
? Animal Form – The final power gives you the ability to transform into animal forms which allows remote areas to be explored.
? You will need to click on the power and it will stick to the cursor. Click on the area again when the gear symbol appears and you will see a red glow and the item that was once hidden is revealed to you. Click on the item to collect and it will move to the inventory window at the bottom of the screen.
? This walkthrough will help you play the game from start to finish providing examples of the hidden objects scenes and solutions to mini games where applicable.
? The walkthrough was done in the tutorial “easy mode” as the games are very similar with hard mode limiting you hints, making you wait longer for them to regenerate and the mini game puzzles do not offer a “Skip Puzzle” option without penalty as the easy mode offers.
? Be sure to read through the cursor section above to help you understand the walkthrough images.
? The hidden object scenes will always have the objects located in the same location but if you play the game a second time the list of items you are asked to find will be different. The items you need to find in the game scenes and use to act upon other items are consistent in both modes.
? Map – The game map does not appear for quite a while. Once you reach it you will be able to move between locations. Any scene on the level map with a blood stain on it indicates that there is still work to be done at that location.
? When you complete a location you will be notified across the top of the screen and access to that location will end.
? Mini Game Puzzles – There are at least two mini game puzzles per scene and you will be required to find items and complete a scene before the puzzle becomes active.
? Once you start the puzzle (if you are in easy mode) you will notice a button at the top right that fills up over time. Once it has completely filled up you will hear a chime and if you want you can skip the puzzle without penalty. The game will continue as if you completed the puzzle successfully. This feature is not available in the hard mode.
? Other buttons available will allow you to reset or ask for directions in completing a puzzle. You may see the same type of puzzle several times in the game with different solutions.
? Each time you play the puzzles there could be a potential different answer and if that is the case it will be listed in the walkthrough below. A screen shot of a final solution will be provided here and step by step directions when available to serve as an example to help you solve the puzzle in front of you.

? You will see a brief movie with text dialogue at the bottom of the screen.
? Storyline Summary – Dracula and Igor are introduced and they discuss his need to return to power and exact revenge upon the man that put him away years ago Professor Van Helsing.

? Place your cursor over the “Book of the Dragon Order” shown in image above. You will see a hand cursor which means you can grab this item. Click on the book and it will move to the bottom left of the screen.
? You can now click on this book at any time to see your achievements and to see notes and hints to help you in the game.

? A. Click on Square Stone. (1 of 2)
? B. Click on Oil Can

? F. Take Oil can and use it on the stuck library mechanism. The lever will now move and an eye cursor will appear where there was once a gear cursor. You will see a chest puzzle but you are still missing a key. Exit out and click on the window behind the area where you removed the curtain.
? G. You will see a message stating there is no handle. Take the window handle out of inventory and place it here. Now you should see a red arrow in front of the window. You will be able to move in and out of this room and will move on to another location. You will need to leave the library and return again in a while.

? A. Click on the sparkling area shown. This will take you to your first hidden object scene.

? Locate the 15 hidden objects shown above. Which are color coded in the key and circled with the corresponding color for the answer.
? Note – Your hidden object scene may have a different list of requirements. The one above will help you with some of the items you may need to find. If you get stuck you can click on Igor for a hint.
? Exit the scene and you will have a rope in your inventory.
? B. Click on the key at the far right of the scene.
? C. Click on the Castle to go back inside the library.
? Click on the area with the chest and go back into key mini game.

? Click on the chest in cabinet.
? Take the key from inventory and place it on the missing area.
? You will now be taken to the mini game.
? Instructions – You must find the three keys needed out of the eight provided to open the chest. You will only be given a few guesses at a time and will have to use logic and deduction to figure out the answer. As they must be used in the correct order.
? Note – Each game played has a different solution for this puzzle.
? Method to Solve – Click on the first key, then the second, and third etc. in order until a key disappears from the wall and appears in the chest.
? Take note of where the first key is located as you will likely need several tries to get the answer.
? Let’s say for example key number two (Left to right) is the first key. When you start over again take key two and place it in the first position. Now start with key one again and place it in slot two. If it does not work then go to key three, then four, and down the line until you run out of turns or find one that works. Remember when you find the answer for slot two do not forget which keys are needed for slots one and two. On your next turn place the keys in the first two slots and use the same process until you figure out the key for slot three.

? Once you solve the puzzle the chest will open.
? A. Click on the piece of shield to take it into inventory. This is the first of six shield pieces you will need to find.
? B. Click on the axe to take it into inventory.
? The library location is now completed. Exit out the open window to the area in front of the castle.

? A. Collect the second shield piece from the front of the crypt.
? B. Use your axe from inventory to open the crypt doorway.
? When the red arrow appears click on it to go into the crypt.

? Storyline Summary – Here Igor and Dracula are inside the crypt where there are several damaged coffins. Dracula must repair his coffin so he can travel.
? A. Take the damaged lid piece into inventory.
? B. Click on the sparkling area to complete a hidden object scene.

? This is the hidden object scene you will encounter. Note that the list of required items to find is along the bottom and it will most likely vary from the one in the image above but they are marked in case they can help you out.
? If you get stuck click on Igor and he will give you a hint.
? Once finished with the hidden object scene you will be rewarded with a trowel in your inventory and will be taken back to the first room of the crypt.

? A. Pick up the second rope shown in image and place in inventory.
? B. Click on the far door in the scene known as the “Room of Knights”. You will be taken to a puzzle which reveals you are missing two skull masks that must be replaced before you can solve the puzzle Come back to this after you have the two skulls.
? C. Click on the area under the center coffin to prompt a mini game puzzle. Once you enter you will see it is a slide the square puzzle but you are missing one stone. You can place the one you have now in the puzzle or wait until you have them both You won’t be able to solve it until you have both pieces.
? Exit the puzzle with the “X” key in the upper right hand corner as you will come back to it later in the game.

? A. Take the piece of coffin lid in inventory and place it on the looted coffin.
? B. Click on the skull mask that appears to the right just above the coffin.
? C. Click on the red arrow at the bottom of the scene and exit back to the front of the castle.

? A. Click on the long boards and take them into inventory.
? B. Click on the castle gates to the far side of the scene where the crosses are seen.

? Now you will be taken to a close up view of the castle gates.
? A. Place a rope on the first cross.
? B. Place second rope on second cross to remove it as well. The iron gargoyles will turn and the gates will open for you.
? Now you will be able to enter through the gates and have opened the next location which is the Village.

? A. Click on the piece of tool box and add it to inventory.
? B. Click on the sparkling area to open a hidden object scene.

? Locate the twenty one hidden objects listed at the bottom of the scene. Note that there are more than one of some items and they have different appearances in the scene.
? Note – The items in your list may differ than the ones shown here but several are likely to be in common so I have listed them here with color coding to help you find them. Once you complete the scene you will be rewarded with a saw and taken back to the village scene.

? A. Grab the shield piece shown on the roof of the building at far left.
? B. Take the trowel from inventory and dig a hole in this location. Once you do, a bone will move into your inventory.

? A. Bring the saw from inventory to the wheel area to repair it. The scene will exit once repaired.

? A. Give the bone to the dog and he will leave the scene.
? B. Click on the shield piece that is now accessible.
? C. Click on the travel chest and this will trigger a mini game.

? Mini Game – In this mini game you will need to click on the round dials which rotate the numbers.
? The numbers need to be listed from top to bottom and left to right 1,2,3,4,5,6
? You will need to rotate the numbers between the three dials until you get them in the correct position as shown in image above.
? This puzzle can be skipped if you prefer once the meter fills up on the button.

? A. Click on the nails and collect them into your inventory.
? B. Click on the crowbar and collect it into your inventory.

? Now you are in the workshop.
? A. Grab the piece of toolbox on the table.
? B. Place the long boards from your inventory on the table.
? C. Bring the saw from inventory to cut the long boards into short boards.
? D. Once boards are cut they will be on the table and on the floor click on them to add them to your inventory.

? A. Once out of the workshop click on the Tool box pieces and use them to repair the toolbox.
? B. Click on the Toolbox to start a mini game.

? Mini Game Instructions – Click on the center pieces to rotate the colored tiles so that they appear as the image above. All colored blocks should surround the corresponding color center piece.
? Once you complete this mini game you will open the box.
? A. Click on the hammer and take it into your inventory. (See insert image above)

? A. Click on the Queen’s Accomplice – Once you finish the last task the Queen’s Accomplice will be standing in the center of the village. Place your cursor on her and you will see a pair of teeth appear. You will see this whenever Dracula can feed on a victim.
? B. Mini Game – Clicking on her starts this mini game. Study the image shown in the upper left corner. (This will be full screen in the game.) Click on Dracula at the bottom and drag the button all the way to the top so that it bumps into the Queen’s accomplice. The entire screen will go dark as soon as you click on Dracula and the objective is to get it to the destination without hitting the walls too many times. If you do, you will have to start over. Once you win this mini game you will be given the choice to feed on the victim now or wait.
? C. Feed or not? – A message will appear asking you if you want to feed on her now or later. It warns you that there will be consequences to either choice.
? D. and E. – Watch Dracula Feed – If you choose to feed (Which I did) you will see blood appear on the outskirts of the image and the meter to the left of the screen will fill up with blood.
? Blood Meter – You will need to from this point on keep an eye out for any where that you see a red glow of blood as you will need this blood to complete tasks in the game.
? Now the village location is completed. Click on the red arrow at the top of the screen to head to the castle.
? Turn right and go back into the crypt.

? A. Use the crowbar in your inventory and remove the square stone tile from the mouth of the statue in the upper left side of scene.
? Note that blood will pour out once you remove the stone and the teeth cursor will appear again. Click on this area and collect the blood. You should see the meter fill up a little more.
? B. Use the crowbar once again on the tile area on the ground. Click on the earth and take it into your inventory.
? C.Click on the stone area of the center coffin to finish the stone tile mini game puzzle. Click on tiles and swap them until you have the puzzle completed. Focus on the borders first and work your way to the center. This puzzle can be skipped if you choose.
? D. The image insert shows the solution to the puzzle mini game.
? E. Once you finish the puzzle you will be able to click on the fifth shield piece. Click to place in inventory.
? F. Next, take the Earth or soil from inventory and place it on Dracula’s coffin.
? G. Take the short boards from inventory and place them on Dracula’s coffin to repair it.
? H. Next, take the nails from inventory and place them in Dracula’s coffin.
? I. Take the hammer from inventory and use it to finish repairing Dracula’s coffin.
? The coffin will begin to sparkle. Click on it and it will move to the lower right corner of the game screen. Now the coffin is known as a “Traveling coffin” and this marks the completion of the crypt location.
? Note – Now you will be able to travel in the game and the coffin icon that has appeared at the lower right corner of the game screen is how to move . Click on this at any time to access the game map. This will allow you to travel long distances for future game chapters.
? There is still one skull mask to collect to complete the mini game in the “Room of Knights” you will have to collect the last skull mask and return at a later time.
? Travel to London via the travelling coffin and map.
? Story Summary – Now Igor and Dracula are in the Office of his greatest enemy Van Helsing where they are searching for the “Symbol of the order.”

? A. Take the red cloth from inventory and cover the mirror with it.
? B. Click on the carpet to remove it and then click on the durable thread that appears and place it in your inventory.

? A. Take the durable thread and add it to the arrows. They will add to your inventory as item “B”
? B. Place this item in the cross bow to load it. This will add to your inventory as item “C”
? C. Take the crossbow and shoot it at the crucifix on the cabinet. This will cause the cabinet door to open and trigger a hidden object scene.
? D. Click on the open cabinet door where you see a sparkling effect to access the hidden object scene.

? Locate the sixteen hidden objects in this scene. The items you need to find are listed along the bottom and are color coded to help you locate them.
? Note – Your list of items may differ from the one seen above. Many of the items will be in common so I have listed the answer to my screen here in case it helps you out.
? Once you find all items you will be awarded with the missing skull mask that was needed to complete the final mini game in the crypt to close out that location.

? Note – The game will actually prompt you and ask if you would like to go back to the crypt to finish it out. Answer “Yes” and go back as you might forget later.

? Skull Mask Mini Game – Take the skull masks out of inventory and place them on the game board.
? Instructions – The goal of this puzzle is to solve three puzzles of increasing difficulty where you control one side of the board which causes the other side to do the exact opposite. If you move your tile up, the other side’s tile will move down. Your mission is to swap the starting positions of the beginning tiles without hitting any of the barriers on the game board. This can be very tricky but with concentration and small movements you can do it.
? These are possible solutions and the puzzles could vary from the ones shown in the image above.
? Puzzle 1 – Up, left, up, left up.
? Puzzle 2 – Up left, up the center, left, up, left and up.
? Puzzle 3 – Left, up, left, up, right , up and left.
? Once you complete this puzzle you have completed the crypt location. You can now enter the “Room of Knights” click on the red arrow to enter the next location.

? The Room of knights holds all of the shields you will need to complete in order to win the game.
? A. Click on the shield piece at the upper right side of screen. You should have all the pieces for the shield on the far left.
? B. Click on the shield piece in the inventory then click on the empty shield six times to fill it.
? You will be taken to the next location which is the cemetary.

? Storyline Summary – Igor and Dracula run into Van Helsing. Dracula learns that Mina his bride to be has been kidnapped. They agree to work together to destroy the Queen of the Vampires and rescue Mina. Van Helsing authorizes Dracula to search through his apartment.
? Abilities – Here you will earn your first ability. You will need blood in order to use this ability and will now find bottles of blood and other things in scenes which you will click on to gather strength.
? A. Click on the bottle of blood shown in image above. It will fill your ability meter.
? B. Whenever you see the red invisible star over an area this means an ability can be used here. Click on the ability meter then on the invisible star area marked “B” and a piece of shield will be revealed. Click on it to add to your inventory.
? C. Click on the acorn and add it to your inventory. You will want to give it to the squirrel that appears every few seconds but he won’t take it yet.
? D. Click here to reveal a hidden object scene.

? Locate the seventeen hidden objects in the scene shown above.
? Note that the answers are shown and color coded. The list of items you are required to find may be different than the one shown. See if the image has any answers that can help you and if not click on the hint button for help.
? Once you find all of the objects a machete will be added to your inventory and you will be taken back to the cemetery scene.

? E. Shed – Click here for a close up view of a box that needs a key. Click on the acorn that is sitting on the top of the box. You will need to come back to this later.
? F. Click on the lantern – A candle will move into your inventory.
? G. Take the machete from your inventory and use it to clear away the vines on the grave. It will now be open with a bright light. You will need a receptacle to carry the wisp in.
? H. Place the acorn on the acorn pieces and the squirrel will take it. If you click on the squirrel it will say it has something between its dirty paws.
? Click on the red arrow and go back to Van Helsing’s Office.

? B. Click on the dagger to add it to your inventory.
? C. Click on the abilities button then on the area near the curtain. Collect the shield piece into your inventory.
? D. Click on the sparkling area and find the objects in the hidden object scene.
? E. Click on the ink well on the desk and when it falls over collect another seal ring for your inventory.

? F. Use the dagger on the drawer. When it opens take the key to the shed and put it in your inventory.
? G. Click on the cabinet to open it. Take out the seal ring inside and place it in your inventory.

? Go back to cemetery and click on the shed.
? Use the key in your inventory to open box.
? A. Click on seal ring to add to inventory. This should be your final ring.
? B. Click on the lantern to collect wisp. This will be in your inventory until you need it.
? Go back to Van Helsing’s Office and click on the Ring Collection just to the left of the blue curtain in the center display case. This will be a mini game.

? Mini Game – Seal Rings
? Instructions – This game is played like pattern Sudoku.
? You will need to arrange the rings so there are no two rings with the same pattern in any row or column at the same time.
? When you have it correct a green light will turn on at the perimeter of the puzzle one for each row and one for each column.
? When you get all the lights to green you win the game.
? You can skip this puzzle after awhile if you choose.
? When you complete this puzzle you will be rewarded with the key to Harker’s apartment. Click on it to place it in your inventory.
? Go back to the cemetery. Click on the hidden object scene at the far right of the scene. You will have to do this scene twice before this location is completed.

? Locate the twelve hidden objects in the scene.
? Note that the items in the image above may be different than what you have in your list.
? Several will likely be in common and the answers are circled and color coded to help you find them.
? Once you complete this puzzle you will be rewarded with a final acorn.
? Go back to cemetery and place the acorn at the bottom of the sidewalk where it says pieces or fragments of acorn. Finally the squirrel will come down from the tree. He will be holding a shield piece. Click on it and take it into your inventory.
? You are still not finished with the cemetery location. Click on the coffin and take the map to Mina’s bedroom. (Locations that still need to be searched will have a trail of blood on them in the map area.)

? Storyline Summary – Dracula suspects others have been hired to kidnap Mina and must search for clues.
? A. Click on the roses that are covered in blood to collect energy for your vision ability.
? B. Collect the piece of letter on the floor and place in inventory.
? C. Collect small portrait of Mina place in inventory.
? D. Click on Vampire Vision ability meter then on area above the bed. A piece of letter will be revealed. Click on it and add to inventory.
? E. Click on the nightstand at the far right of the scene for a closer view.

? A. Click on the small red diamond at the top of the dresser and add to inventory.
? B. Open left drawer.

? D. Click on small vial of blood.

? F. Click on piece of letter and take into inventory. Back to full bedroom scene and the Queen’s accomplice is in the room.

? Story Summary – The Queen’s accomplice appears and threatens to kill Dracula.

? B. Mini Game – This is just like the one you saw near the beginning of the game. Click on Dracula and the screen will go dark while you have your left mouse button pushed in. Guide him to the Queen’s accomplice on the other side as shown marked in yellow arrows above. Do not touch the sides too many times or you will have to start over. Once you have completed this puzzle you will be asked if you want to feed or not.
? The game warns you there will be consequences for your choice.
? C. Choose “Yes” and let Dracula feed.

? A. Click on the secret compartment that was behind Harker’s picture.
? B. Click on the small vial of blood.
? C. Take the metal knob and place in inventory.
? D. Take Mina’s small portrait from inventory and place it in the left side of the picture locket.
? Click on the Coffin and go back to the cemetery location.
? Click on the Tomb at the back center of the scene.
? Click on the vampire vision ability and then click on the tomb door. This will cause the wisp sign to appear at the top of the door.

? A. Take the wisp from inventory and place it on the wisp symbol on the tomb door.
? This will open the door and complete the cemetery location.
? Click on the Tomb and go inside. This will trigger the storyline.
? Storyline – Dracula and Van Helsing find the tomb of the brothers obelisk. They do not know which one is which at this time and must go back to Transylvania to find the remaining pieces.
